Not so sure about that. Democracy never works in favor of minority groups who are discriminated against. The chinese gov have at least kept the peace and is working to improve the reputation of Uighurs to the majority Hans though promoting them in popular culture.

Nope, you are talking about a variant of communism that is Marxism. Communism is about economics (i.e. communal ownership) and not religion. There are religious communist societies.
