UN Security Council out of tune, serves no one's purpose: India

I don't understand why country would still want to get in the UNSC. it's a big joke, it's stop functioning about 60 years ago.

Today UNSC is a show, what the west support, China and Russia will veto, What the Chinese and Russian support, the west will veto. Unless it's 3rd world problem with a common sense, then they will do their work, otherwise is just a bunch of political show that 12 people are doing. (is it 12 or 15)

Pakistan, which along with Italy leads the Uniting for Consensus (UfC) group, opposes any addition to the Council’s permanent members, but seeks enlargement of the non-permanent category with longer terms.

These are not old times, in which Pakistan used to rant about India supported by external elements to pin down India. You can serve your Big friends interests but truth is no body cares your opinion now.

By serving others interests Pakistan is getting pinned down by itself and it will have no affect on India.

This is an Indian sour grape piece. If India is so indispensable, then all other's will invite India to be a permanent member. Alas, this is not the case now. With how things r going, things would not change for a long time.

India is not urging for UN permanent seat, Soon UN security council will loose its importance with the rise of regional blocks.

India: UNSC sucks, but it will all be okay if you take us in!

If India had any honor, it would argue to eliminate a tyrannical scheme such as UNSC.

I'm glad Pakistan has been one of the few nations that has had the guts to say UNSC should be abolished.

You are right. India is saying that its ok if you take us in.

But mate, if you are calling a spade as a spade. Then do also comment that the reason Pakistan is one of the few nations that is saying what it is, is because it knows that it has no chance to enter the UNSC as a permanent member and India has maximum chances. The only way out for Pakistan is to condemn the entire injustice carried out at UN.

IF Pakistan had been in a position of having a good chance of getting in, it would have been saying what we are. Simple. Its not out of honour that Pakistan is clamouring for equality.

HA HA HA, this Singh Puri, I remember this braggard well!

About 2 years ago when India's UNSC bid was at its height and he just assumed the temp. presidency of the UN, this tard bragged about sth like "this time India will have no intention to leave the seat..", insinuating that it would sccessfully get into the top table.

So today on the eve of bowing out, this Puri is eating his own words, feeling the uncontrolled urge to rubbish the whole thing before being kicked out - a typical Indian slumdog behaviour!

Contrary to dimwit Singh Puri's remark, the current UNSC has prefectly served its founding principle, i.e. to prevent world-wide

war, via usual strategic stalemate by the existing 5 veto members / 2 camps - that's the point, dummy!!

Get real! To be a UNSC veto member, one needs

1. top economy

(meaning real, hard and cold world-class Industrial Power, not call centre back office alike douchebags)

2. top military

(meaning self-sufficient and truly indigenous production at least beyond basic rifle and ammunitions level, not purchasing in that deep pocket Saudis is ranked much more powerful than India)

3. top world-wide soft power

(sorry, meaning dancing, singing or being able to speak the language of other people and/or master will not be counted!)

4. Last tiny requirement and the least: at least >30% of its population NOT answer their natural calls in streets under broad daylight, fair enough?

So Adios Singh Puri Curri, don't let the door hit you!

HA HA HA!

Chinese always comes up with Bizarre Logic and always get humiliated in India bashing threads.
