UN human rights body backs French Sikhs on turbans

you and many others will back just about anything which leads to muslims not getting their rights.
Yep, I would sacrifice my "dot" on forehead, just to stop muslims getting their right. Lol :)
Anyway, did not the turban ban happen before burqa ban.
Which means french wanted to deny muslims rights, and turban ban was just a show off?

Off-Topic - Don't you think the title is funny i.e. "un human rights body"

Never seen a Sikh wear his turban on his face :-)rofl:)....the same is true for hats, caps etc. which are are not permitted for passport pictures...But a turban is important for Sikh's with long hair (principle is you have to cover your hair and protect them from damage) and for the baptised one's its mandatory.

I haven't seen a sikh man without the turban, though I have seen muslim women without the burqa, muslim men without the skull cap, jews without their skull cap. do u get the picture? What other ethnic groups are u talking about, among whom some individuals haven't already given up their traditional or religious outfit?

For a sikh the turban is mandatory without which he is not a sikh.

I clearly stated what the situation would develop into from the French government's POV, not mine.

That's a lie, there were Sikhs at at my school without turbans with Guido hair and all thugged out, so no this tradition is also selectively enforced.

It's not about enforcement but one of the tenants of their religion but it up to that person at the end of the day. 90% of Sikhs I know wear a Turban but I have come across a few in the west who wore a bandana type thing instead but when I asked them they told me we will change to a turban in later life.
