Ulema and Pakistan Movement

Mullahs are the most backward of the backward classes of Pakistan, They are dividend among themselves with their own twisted ideologies. They are the enemies of Pakistan and its people. They have restricted Pakistan from progressing and are the root cause of all ills that prevail in Pakistan's societies.

Your post give an impression that it was between 'Hindu' Indian National Congress and 'Secular' Muslim League.

Meray bhai Indian politics was dominated by sophisticated secular nationalists (both Hindu and Muslims) in the pre Gandhian times only ...Gokhale`s death in 1915 and Tilak`s death in 1920 left this form of politics orphaned ... Gandhi despite frantic attempts was unable to gain membership in Gokhale`s "Servants of india" for two years ... Sadly it was Mr. Jinnah who made the terrible mistake of nominating Gandhi as the candidate for home rule league bombay presidency despite better advice from committed secularists like Jayakar .... Gandhiji later made Home rule League or "Sawaraj Sabha" as he called it the focal point in his "fantastic fads" and "pet theories" that Jayakar had spoken against .... Gandhiji brought religion into politics .... and ironically tried to portray himself as inheritor of Gokhale and Tilak ... He shamelessly sided with the British when Tilak was humiliated by lord Wellingdon , It was Jinnah not Gandhi who went out to avenge Tilak`s humiliation ..... But this is another discussion and has got nothing to do with the topic here ......

You are hell bent to prove that Muslim League's Two national theory give an impression of secularism and inter-faith equality. :sarcastic::sarcastic: Muslim League was formed 1906 in Dhaka as a reaction to protest against Bengal Partition of 1905, Gandhi was nowhere to be seen, how come you even blame Gandhi for bringing religion in politics when it already came in politics with the formation of Muslim League in 1906.

How did that happen.

Just want to be educated about our shared history. That's all.

If you do study real history, you won't be repeating the same old mistaken terms. That's all.

I am no fan of left or right, up or down theory. :sarcastic:

I am no fan of left or right, up or down theory. :sarcastic:

I wish majority of posters were like you.

The problem is that so many of us treat our history in a non-professional way.

Would you become a surgeon by going to high school or relying on high school science books (even when they were written in an unbiased way)?

I am sure you will say no.

For a surgeon to get your vote of confidence and your respect for his opinion must be based on his years of studies BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL and long history of training and practice.

However when it comes to our regional and national health, we become high school drop out quacks, ready to cut and chop our mother lands as if there is no end.

how insincere if not downright criminal.

So I urge you my bro

That please do not rely on school level utterly rubbish and biased history books to drive your opinion about your motherland or the motherlands of your neighbor.

Hope this helps.

That's fine. Here is what I find Pakistani posters trying to portray here.

1. to portray those Muslims who opposed Pakistan movement or associated with Congress as British agents and anti-Muslim.
2. to portray if was between 'Hindu' Congress and 'Secular' Muslim League.
3. to portray Muslim League was the flag bearer of secularism and inter-communal equality with their two nation theory and Muslim homeland movement.
4. To portray Hindus discriminated against Muslims by not agreeing to give up their proportional representation to appease Muslim League.

Muslim League was "formed" in order to provide protection to upper and gentry class of Indian Muslims , (nothing to do with Islam) ..Until 1930 , it was not a mass organisation but represented the landed and commercial Muslim interests of the United Provinces (today's Uttar Pradesh) only ... In 1910, an All India Hindu Conference was organised in Allahabad by leading Hindu social and political leaders who sought to organize Indian Hindus politically ... Neither ML , nor Hindu Mahasaba were national organizations with any significant role to play in Indian politics .. Jinnah opposed ML (the only prominent Muslim to do so) , until Gandhi brought religion into politics (on the level of general masses) , thus changing the whole political scenario in the sub continent ... The dark volcanic forces he uncovered , changed the course of the history ... Open a new thread if you want to discuss this , but stop derailing this thread now ........

How did that happen.

For details : Philip Sprat Gandhism in analysis 1939 , Madras ... India`s Freedom Struggle , Dwarkadas Kanji

This thread is about "Role of Mullahs in Pakistan Movement" , and how they hijacked our country and became the protectors of "ideology of Pakistan" later ...... Those who supported Pakistan Movement are labelled as "traitors of Pakistan" today , and those who opposed it , try to take all the credit ... It is not about being "anti Islam" or "pro British" ... that is another topic .. And you are the only one here trying to derail this thread ....

1- Majority Is Authority

2- Pakistan was created with the name of Islam, without this concept it wouldn't be possible.

3- There is no second concept behind Independence. [emoji41]

1- Majority Is Authority

1. Appeal to popularity is a logical fallacy

2. The Holy Qur'an itself says about those who blindly follow the majority:

"Now if thou pay heed unto the majority of those [who live] on earth, they will but lead thee astray from the path of God: they follow but [other people's] conjectures, and they themselves do nothing but guess." (6:116)

“Or do you think that most of them listen or use their intellect? They are only like cattle, nay, they are more astray from the way” (25:44)

2- Pakistan was created with the name of Islam, without this concept it wouldn't be possible.

3- There is no second concept behind Independence.

Did you miss this:

The universal opposition of virtually every significant religious group in Undivided India, indeed the entire Muslim religious establishment to Jinnah's Pakistan movement and the Muslim League cannot be reconciled with any idea of religious origins of Pakistan. This is just one of many paradoxes that anyone who thinks of that the true reason for the creation of Pakistan was to establish a religious 'Islamic state', must unravel.
