Poland receives first Leopard 2A5 MBTs

Poland has received its first batch of Leopard 2A5 main battle tanks (MBTs) from ex-German Army stocks, the Polish General Command announced on 16 May.
A total of 11 Leopard 2A5s were delivered by rail to Zagan in west Poland, where their intended user, the 34th Armoured Cavalry Brigade, is based.
Poland ordered a total of 105 Leopard 2A5 MBTs, plus 14 of the earlier Leopard 2A4 variant and around 200 support and logistics vehicles, from ex-German stocks in November 2013 under a EUR187 million (USD253 million) contract with the German government. Poland already operates 124 Leopard 2A4 MBTs, plus a large inventory of Soviet-era T-72M and PT-91 Twardy MBTs. The new Leopards will replace the 34th Armoured Cavalry Brigade's two battalions of PT-91 tanks, while Poland's T-72M MBTs are planned to be phased out of service.
The Polish General Command stated that 49 of the new tanks should be delivered by mid-2014, with all vehicles being delivered by mid-2015.

Deliveries are scheduled from 2014 to 2015. The contract is worth €180 million (US $243 million), according to the Polish MoD. The procurement also covers related military equipment, including transportation vehicles, machine guns, training and radio location systems.
Meanwhile, the Polish military is aiming to overhaul the 128 Leopard 2A4 tanks it already operates. The tanks were produced from 1984 to 1986.

Poland’s original set of 128 Leopard 2A4 tanks were bought and transferred in the mid-2000s. They need a full overhaul, and modernization would be an excellent idea. The new Leopards include another 14 2A4s, plus 105 of the more advanced Leopard 2A5s. This will form the high-end core of Poland’s armored brigades, with capabilities and survivability far ahead of its T-72 and PT-91 Twardy (locally designed upgrade beyond T-72M1) tanks.

I mean, it's not like UAF can use Leopard tanks. If so, Russia would send T-90MS tanks. I think the number of tanks UAF can use which are ex USSR tanks is very limited now indeed.

United states will not place Nuclear missiles in Ukraine because its not needed. Cant understand why statements were issued about placing of Nukes in Crimea ? Russian Federation is having ICBM's capable of carrying Nukes.
