Antitank guided missile “Stugna”, produced by one of UKROBORONPROM enterprises, is one of the most modern State Holding developments, outranking world analogues in hitting range.

This was announced by UKROBORONPROM First Deputy Director General Sergii Pinkas, in his interview to "Focus".

“Missile "Stugna," developed by Kyiv Design Bureau “Luch”, is already delivered to military. It can hit a target the size of A4 paper sheet from the distance of 5.5 km, using a laser guidance system. “Stugna” is analogue of American missile “Javelin”, the one we saw at IDEX-2015 exhibition in Emirates not so long ago. However, “Javelin” is much more expensive and works at the distance of 2-2.5 km from the target, under ideal conditions - at the distance of 4 km. So, this development makes us one step ahead of Americans, "- said Sergii Pinkas.

I don't see the comparison with Javelin either. Javelin is a hand held ATGM not a tripod mounted one.

i think here the Ukrainians are talking about the distance and its not about the American equipment but about the situation around the troubled areas of Ukraine.

Accuracy, mobility and low cost are the main advantages of the national anti-missile system "Stugna-P", which is now shown to the President of Ukraine and the country's leadership. Ukrainian weapons show and range practice were held at the proving ground of 169 Land Forces training center "Desna" of Armed Forces of Ukraine. Modern anti-tank missile systems and guided missiles, produced by UKROBORONPROM, were demonstrated to the leadership of the country.

The power of missiles "Stugna" and "Combat", light anti-tank missile complex "Corsar" and artillery projectile "Kvitnyk", grenade launchers, armored military vehicles and the newest intelligence set was demonstrated during the event.

In general, more than 20 samples of modern military equipment and weapons were displayed. Leading UKROBORONPROM enterprises SE "SKDB" Luch," SE “SIC “PROGRESS,” SE " Malyshev Plant,” "SE" Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau", SE “Orizon-Navigation ", as well as Kiev and Zhitomir armored plants, exhibited their products.

Ukraine is one of the few countries that are able to produce their own high-precision and high-tech weaponry. Ukraine is still having the fifth strongest military in Europe having more than 50 territorial defense battalions and its military is equipped with good numbers of Air defenses batteries and this was the real reason that we havnt saw Russian aircrafts bombing Ukrainian cities.

Moral of Ukrainian military is high thats why they have regain most of the territory which was under the control of Russia back seperatists.
