Ukraine to buy 4 MILGEM corvettes

All history. There was only a time period when Russia and Turkey actually dominated the Black Sea coasts. For example, the 1950s. Even at that time, there was no absolute Russian control of the Black Sea and there could not be. There is no Russian control at the moment, nor will there be in the future.
Funny because there were times like this:

Basically Russia had dominance in the Black Sea from the 18th to early 20th century.

OK. But we're talking about control here. We're not talking about who wins and loses wars. At certain times, you can be the dominant force. "Russia controls the Black Sea, so what will Ukraine do with the ship?" ' the forum member asked. And I say that Russia did not have that degree of control in the Black Sea, for example, even in the 1850s.

But it is a valid question. At least theoretically,Russia controls the sea. Let's put aside their losses and the state of the Black Sea fleet right now. Let's say Turkey is ready to deliver the corvettes to Ukraine. How will that happen without a diplomatic incident or a skirmish? If the Russians are blocking the area around Ukraine's left ports? :S

This is Ukraine's problem, not us. :)

For years Turkish navy was stronger then Russian navy, the balance was in favor Russian navy when they entered ther supersonic missiles. Beside that they have no edge in the blacksea, current state Turkish navy will again outmatch the blacksea fleet of Russia.

After 2030 it will be difficult for Russian navy, nobody can control the blacksea, you need a lot ships and submarine to control the sea.

Being a littoral of any sea, no matter how small the sea, is extraordinarily lucrative. Especially in the 21st century, when resources are scarce.

The water and depths of the Black Sea are full of energy resources. There is no oxygen in the depths of the Black Sea. Instead, there is toxic Hydrogen Sulfide dissolved in water. Hydrogen gas can be obtained from this substance very easily and Hydrogen is the cleanest fuel. At the bottom of the Black Sea, we have already found natural gas deposits.

Therefore controlling the Black Sea will become increasingly difficult for everyone. By recruiting Ukraine, western Europeans would have done a very lucrative business. I haven't even mentioned Ukrainian grain, which will become even more important in the 21st century due to the food crisis.
