The Association Agreement will constitute a new stage in the development of EU-Ukraine contractual relations, aiming at political association and economic integration and leaving open the way for further progressive developments. The AA provides for a shared commitment to a close and lasting relationship, based on common values, in particular full respect for democratic principles, rule of law, good governance, human rights and fundamental freedoms.

EU sets conditions for visa-free regime| Ukrinform
KYIV, March 27 /Ukrinform/. The European Union member states are ready to abolish visas for citizens of Ukraine within the EU-Ukraine action plan on visa liberalization.

Head of the political section of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hannes Schreiber has said this at a press conference in Ukrinform.

"The atmosphere [among EU member states] is now such that, if the conditions are satisfied, then let's advance as soon as possible. In general, the member states are very positive about the provision of visa freedom. It is important to use that and it is also important to meet the criteria," Schreiber said.

At the same time, he noted that the EU interior ministries would make the final decision on visa liberalization with Ukraine.

"It's important that they do not take the political issues into account. It is not an issue of politics. It is an issue of internal security," Schreiber emphasized.

He noted that the issue of visa liberalization also related to the fight against organized crime, anti-corruption policies, migration policy and security risks.

Ukraine vows to meet visa-free travel requirements by Eastern Partnership summit
  • 1007_113509.jpg

Ukraine is ready to meet technical requirements for visa-free travel to the European Union by the Eastern Partnership summit and is expecting the EU to send a political signal of its preparedness to take this step, said deputy chief of the Ukrainian presidential administration Dmitry Shymkiv.

"Ukraine is tasked to comply with technical requirements for the visa-free travel regime set out by the EU before the Riga summit. There is not a single reason why Ukraine cannot do that. The visa-free regime is a question of political debates in the European community," Shymkiv said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

In turn, presidential representative for peace settlement in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions Iryna Heraschenko pointed to "the political aspect related to the war in Donbas".

"Obviously, the war is a factor which is not inspiring optimism of the European side. But Ukraine needs to fulfill every commitment and demonstrate that it does the homework. It takes two to hold dialogue, so we are expecting you [the EU] to send a political message indicating when it [the visa-free travel regime] can happen," Heraschenko said.

"We should appeal to the world and say that contemporary Ukraine is more European than many other countries, and our citizens, Ukrainians, should receive a positive political message from EU states," Heraschenko said.

Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski said earlier that Ukraine would not be granted the visa-free travel regime at the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga in May.

He said later that the European Commission would make a visa-free travel request to European countries on the basis of the opinion of experts working in Ukraine.

Riga will host the European Partnership summit on May 21-22.

Klimkin: EU afraid of influx of migrants due to visa-free regime with Ukraine| Ukrinform

KYIV, April 15 /Ukrinform/. The EU has some concerns about additional migration pressure of internally displaced persons from Donbas in case of introduction of a visa-free regime with Ukraine, so we need to ensure maximum protection of internally displaced persons.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin told MPs during parliamentary hearings on the prospects of introducing a visa-free regime for the citizens of Ukraine by the European Union, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"And, of course, this issue [of migration from Donbas] is one of the most important because the European Commission and the European countries have no doubts that we will fulfill the entire package of reforms. However, taking into account the migration that has occurred from many countries in recent years, including from the Balkan region, we have to prove that we are able to help all those who have suffered in Donetsk and Luhansk," the official said.

According to Klimkin, the European Commission has completed its assessment of the implementation of criteria for the second phase of a visa-free regime introduction by our Government. Its assessment report will be ready in early May.

Another bla-bla-bla.
Now, all the Ukrainians at entrance to the EU will have to be fingerprinted.
And there is no visa-free regime in May, as I said.

.
Results from the summit:
- no visa-free regime for Ukraine
- no money for Ukraine
- no weapons for Ukraine
- no EU military force to act as "peacekeepers" for Ukraine
OP is currently awaiting his orders from Goebbles Ministry of Truth in Kiev how to spin abovementioned facts as a victory for his employers.
