Yes you can give countless examples of terrorism not involving muslims, but an important point is always missed. Unlike other terrorist movements, which have a political goal, Islamic terrorism is religiously motivated. Its and end in itself.
There is a serious flaw in the current day interpretation of Islam, and it must be debated and rectified. Sure there are flaws in every other religion, but atleast its followers do not shy away from introspection. You will not get your head chopped off or fatwa declared on your head for dissing Jesus, or making pornographic pictures of Hindu gods.
Introspection by muslims is the need of the hour, not shying away from any criticism. But its not going to happen, not anytime soon. Whats going to happen is that the simmering rage among the non-islamic people will reach a boiling point, someday, and there will be a terrible and co-ordinated back lash against muslims all over the world. It makes me uneasy thinking about it, but i see this world hurtling towards that catastrophe inevitably.
The silent majority of Muslims need to stand up and be counted. They need to express their views and denounce this jihadi madness, or its they who will suffer the consequences the most.
