This thread isn't meant for a comparison between law enforcement of the UK and the US.

The fact that the establishment has to crack down on those with differing political views for merely voicing there concerns as citizens is clearly a characteristic of a police state, regardless if the police officers themselves are "soft" or "hard".

is it not all relative? UK is police state compared to which country? there are very few countries in the world that will match your criteria of authorities doing nothing to control an explosive situation.
BNP is a far right group, with white supremacist agenda. Mr Robinson himself left the group already, saying BNP is too racist for him...
I would love to be in a country of absolute freedom of speech.. should Anjem be arrested for supprting IS, no, its just a view, he did nothing wrong. Same goes for Mr Robinson, he should have been allowed to go everywhere and precipitate violence on the street. Its job of the police to protect people, so they should just have waited, and stepped in to stop violence.
The political correctness about rape of white girls need to be seen in historical perspective. that was the time when most people got scot free, including very high and mighty. These rapes are not literally rape, they are statuory rape(sex with minor). Now should police have taken it seriously? definitely. They should have done same when BBC was a den of rapists/molesters, and the allegation even goes up to royal family(all hushed up now). It was police incompetence, plain and simple.

This is not going to happen now, neither for political correctness nor because you are powerful. UK has changed for the better since 80s.

You're comparing apples with oranges. ISIS/Al-Qaeda is a proven international terrorist organization which Anjem Chaudhry has been supporting FOR YEARS, while BNP is a Nationalist Polotical Party. How many suicide bombings has BNP carried out in the name of "White supremacy", how many beheadings, how many rapes, how many mosques, Hindu/sikh temples have they blown up, how many forced conversions have they carried out, how many non-white girls have they sold into sex slavery?

You're comparing apples with oranges. ISIS/Al-Qaeda is a proven international terrorist organization which Anjem Chaudhry has been supporting FOR YEARS, while BNP is a Nationalist Polotical Party. How many suicide bombings has BNP carried out in the name of "White supremacy", how many beheadings, how many rapes, how many mosques, Hindu/sikh temples have they blown up, how many forced conversions have they carried out, how many non-white girls have they sold into sex slavery?

no, if you want to uphold the principle of freedom of speech and say state cannot jail you or interfere with your movement just for your views, you need to include Anjem as well... none of the BNP dudes got jailed(Anjem, Qatada etc did), all sorts of people get stopped for causing public disorder, not BNP specifically.
I agree police went a bit too cautious/conservative wrt BNP but not by much.

That wasn't a personal attack on you, I meant it on the creator of the video. Its still stupid and full of conspiracy theories. UK is not a Police state, I live here, I travel often from one end to other end of the country and have never been stopped, no one gets shot by Police for running a red light or a small traffic offence.
