Falklands will be defended not because they are British territory etc, but because they are the gateway to Antarctica for the British. They are a British territory because of this, along with Ascension and other islands. The British still control important access points like Gibraltar and that is not a coincidence. The Falklands serve a purpose in the strategic calculus of UK.

The Argentine mainland is untouchable. The Falklands was a loophole. The US said as long as you don't do anything say within 25 miles of the mainland we aren't going to do anything.

The Argentineans (European settlers) slaughtered the native Indians, please do read up on the "conquest of the desert campaign", and have since discriminated against what is left of the population. Now they want another piece of land! Sorry it's not happening.

Who lives there? My understanding is that the people that actually live there identify as British. There are no "natives" of the islands - people who have lived there for 1000s of years. The islands were found by the British with no population at all.

The Argentine claim is very weak. The British claim is quite strong. This is not a case of the British coming in and lording over a hapless native population - there was no population when they arrived.

Further, it has nothing to do with India being or not being "slaves" of Britain. Don't get carried away by your own bitterness or shame, or whyever it is you feel the need to do whatever you can to hurt Britain.

The Falklanders were British, they choose to remain so. So Falklands are and always will be British

Even if Argentine Economy or Military power trump Britain, as long as those falklander wants to be British, the land will always be British. Argentine can occupy Falkland, but those islander will fight til there are none of them left.

The best time for argentine to reclaim Falkland has came and gone, the result of the first war not just a British Victories, but the islander also gain their national value as British, as long as Argentinian sees as invader in Falkland, they never have a chance.

Exactly my point. Falklands have been settled by these people who have lived there for 2 centuries now. You cannot have the cake and eat it too.
