Whilst they operate in areas held by terrorists, there has never been any real evidence to substantiate the claim that they are linked to terrorists in any way. Many non-governmental organisations also operate in these areas; they are mostly apolitical and focus on the humanitarian efforts - it does not imply terrorist activity. The reason they are so derided is they've captured potential war crimes with their helmet camera footage, which is then used by governments to peddle their narrative or work against a narrative e.g. presence of civilian casualties. I'm not going to lay blame on anyone for the crimes but these sort of partisan beliefs propagated with no evidence are not only harmful to sorting out the mess in Syria but misleads public opinion here in the UK. As if we need more of that.

By the way, there are more credible journalists and pundits out there who can offer you a more sober and impartial analysis regarding real Western propaganda. Sharmine is not one of them.
