UK made a firm decision on Huawei in 5G: UK foreign ministry's top official

Nonsense
VT is more than that, OEM, vendor, developer as well. It makes software, telecom equipment, 4g/5g, Radar. And many military equipment for the army. Vietnam first 5g infra will be deployed by VT.
The US bans Huawei. that is the opportunity for VT to fill the gap.
Win win.

lol sure it does. its funny how you show me some picture of some military guys in front of a whiteboard. like wtf is that supposed to be? some nursing home cosplay? Industry insiders are laughing at VT's hilarious claims right now: https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-51178369

One industry analyst said he thought it unlikely that Viettel was now poised to become a serious competitor in its own right.

"It cost the other players billions of dollars to develop their own 5G portfolios and they didn't do it overnight," commented Dan Bieler, an analyst at Forrester Research.

"I'm sceptical from a perspective of how much capital expenditure Viettel really has available to fund such research and then manufacture these products.

"If this is only about using certain components it has manufactured and designed, then that would not be such a huge story - but it's a very large claim to suggest it is in the same league as Nokia, Ericsson and Huawei."

Another expert also expressed reservations.

"Even if it they could get past other hurdles, Viettel would have to pay patent and royalty fees to the likes of Qualcomm, Huawei and Ericsson, which would make it financially unrealistic to create and sell its own infrastructure," suggested Dimitris Mavrakis, from ABI Research.

"It would have to pay exorbitant amounts - the technology specifications and the intellectual property rights are very tightly controlled.

"It's not as if anyone can just jump in and create their own, otherwise other industry giants like AT&T, Verizon and Vodafone would also have done the same."

But if VT wants to pay billions of dollars in patent licensing to Huawei that's cool too.

Why pay Huawei?

Huawei is banned in Vietnam.

Sorry.

China, for the next 1-2 or maybe 3 years you guys are pretty safe because the Western world still needs medical supply and collaboration to avoid a BIG depression, 4 years top. However, it is pretty clear that the Anglo Saxons want revenge.
You will have around 1-2 years to get rid of the dollar as an international trade medium. Or build up a big enough buffer as Russia did.

Britain decided in January to allow Huawei into what the government said were non-sensitive parts of its 5G network, capping its involvement at 35%.

Problem is, 35% cap on non-essential components still makes US scream and cry so much that (1) Pompeo threatened to stop intelligence sharing with UK, and (2) they incite many pro-US agents in the UK parliament to rebel against the government decision. US desperation is very revealing.

The US is angry not because of this 35 percent cap. The US is angry because Huawei is founded on intellectual theft.

The US can differ between good and bad communists.
Vietnam has a favorable view on the US. In contrast China sees the US as enemy.
That makes the US very sad.

Are you seriously this unintelligent? You are talking like a 5 year old.

Huawei is seen as a threat because it has more advanced technology in a field that will revolutionize the world. It is as simple as that.
