I get that, however, it just shows that Italian food is too 'weak' and insecure that they would have to ban other restaurants for 'protection of Italian food'. If Italian food was great (and it surely is), then it wouldn't need a ban on other restaurants and should be able to handle competition in the market.
If other, non-Italian restaurants are bad, smell horrible, or 'do not fit into Italian cities', then they should simply run out of business due to lack of patronage.
Government getting involved in the free market by banning things is something that should be opposed.
Its not about italian food. Its simply that we dont want this shit in our cities. The smell is disgusting and not italian. Those restaurants dont look italian as well. They look like a cancerous tumor in our city.
Government also bans drug dealership. The free market has limits.
