UK economy ‘very worrying’: France

Eurosceptic Bernard Jenkin. I understand his position which is clear .

dear Jamie i am not French but Iranian but making business here i have some interest in this country
which i highly appreciate for many points (and dislike some points)
but with my readings let me just see the advantages of Euro:
- with Euro there are less fluctuations and this is very important for business! i can say it frankly by having one
when you pay in euro you would not appreciate that when you pay the second part the money didn't have the same value.. if it increases of 50% in a month for exemple it can give you lot of troubles... especially when you already set the prices of the product you sell and then the products used for it are much more expensive
- money homogeneity in EUrope=> you can compare prices everywhere in Europe easily and the money doesnt make it change the differences
- change less expensive
- easy trade business and employment: payment in one money without change costs to pay for exemple people in Germany
- stock exchange stability increases
and so on

As well of course the symbol of unity of Europe. Maybe not in England but in France they would like more unity and solidarity.

I wonder what they did with their economy.... they looted almost every country in the world & even then today they are going to be bankrupt...:what:

BERNARD JENKIN: 'They're stuck in the euro at an uncompetitive exchange rate, their government has to spend more interest borrowing money than the British government because we're outside the euro and we have a flexible exchange rate.

I think they're rather jealous of our position in some respects.'
That is how I have drawn that conclusion coupled with the fact that they might be downgraded ahead of us.
We are not trying to sink Europe, you are our biggest trading partner.
Faking interest? What are you on about?

“special relationship” with Washington that provides the US key military bases in Britain and a loyal, eager-to-please ally.

The EU is a Franco-German tantrum to try and challenge US hegemony.

Britain has always been viewed by the rest of Europe as America's little poodle -- not fully European.

It is happening the opposite EXCEPT UK

The markets have already shrugged off the latest 'lipstick on a pig' shenanigans from the Merkel-Sarkozy camp. If anyone seriously thinks that a monetary union combining first world powerhouses like France and Germany with (at best) second world contraptions like Greece, Portugal and Poland is a viable entity, they are in for a big surprise.

Already the Scandinavians are hanging by a thread. Almost every Swede or Dane I know does not want to be part of EU. They don't want their social safety system and standard of living to be held hostage to the dodgy dealings of tax cheats and unscrupulous bankers in southern or eastern Europe.

I dont think you even understood my post, so never mind.
You want to see the end of the empire, yet you yourself live in Canada a result of imperialism. If you wanted nothing to do with the empire, you wouldn't be living there.
Besides the empire is already gone, are you sure you understood what you said?
