UK announces three billion pounds investment in Pakistan

KARACHI: Britain has announced three billion pound investment in Pakistan on Monday.

According to details, this was announced by British High Commissioner in Pakistan Philip Barton in his visit to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE).

At the occasion the British diplomat said that his country wanted to invest in Pakistan in field of energy and financial services.

He further added that the investment will create great number of jobs in the country.

but since we are in an unfortunate state at the moment

are we waiting for them to take over

or

are we welcoming them to take over ??

wont mian nawaz sharif realize as an industrialist.....that all the money that could have been in Pakistan's pocket will now go to the Brits !!!!

im not sure of the terms of contract.....IMO they should be told to keep money "in Pakistan"...

my suggestion would be that.....the government should seek purchase of these assets later....ASAP once they are ready

any ideas on where the investment will be carried out.....im assuming Gwadar

Of course there is a catch but since we are in no situation to manage things on our own right now we need to accept what we get. With time our nation will grow stronger and like all nations in time root out the evils and become stronger economically and militarily.

If the world doesn't invest in China and India, set up ITs or cheap goods, both would not have such good economy. So we should welcome investments. It creates jobs, which reduces poverty and terrorism.

I really hope British Airways start serving Pakistan!
