Udaipur : Images of a traditional ceremony

They still command a lot of respect from the families who live there.

However all erstwhile princes and nawabs (Saif Ali Khan) now need to earn their own bread. Its not cheap maintaining these huge palaces resulting in most of them being sold to Taj group or similar hotel groups. Dont know of any such palace being sold to any Industrialist or politicians.

Just got back from a visit to Udaipur, the place is just as Grand.

Looking forward to another trip around Dussehra.
