Outstanding! Super piloting skills by the Emirati pilot. The MAWS on that blk 60 must've been ringing and lighting up like crazy.

Not just one missile, he dodged a pair of them! The first one @ minute 1:02 when he juked the missile's trajectory with the perfectly timed flares ejections and the 2nd missile @ 1:16 was also juked by the 2nd set of perfectly timed flares released that it made a course adjustment and came back at him where it barely missed the aircraft.

AND, the reason it missed the aircraft is also because of his amazing flying skills. If you watch the slow-motion, he actually pulls up a fraction of a millisecond before the missile passes, just enough so that it slips below the aircraft.

The only luck that played any factor in this scenario was that missile didn't have a proximity fuse.

I think he dodged three missiles. So its possible if one missile is dodged it can alter the course and come back at the target is such a short span? The thrid time he dodged it was truly mind-blowing.

Sure. If you look at the direction the first missile was traveling in, it was heading away from the aircraft, almost exactly as if it had been drawn by the first set of flares. The 2nd missile @1:16 was going in the general direction of the aircraft and you can follow the smoke trail when it comes back towards the aircraft, it's the same one. Pretty incredible.

As far as the speed is concerned, if it was an R-27 which looked like what the Houthis fired the last time, then that thing travels at roughly mach 3 or 2,200 mph average speed depending on altitude; F-16 (without getting into too much detail about the engine and drag with fuel tanks like it appeared to be carrying) with it's full afterburner on and going close to max speed was probably doing mach 1.5 or 1,100 mph roughly at the most? So the missile was traveling at least twice as fast as the F-16. I would say it could definitely turn and catch up.

Well they can’t do it from 40,000 feet..They need expérience pilots..Sauds are not..The first dépôt of scuds that was destroyed on the first day of the invasion was done by Israel..not by the Sauds..

Last time we saw what the Houthis were firing off the ground was what appeared to be an R-27 A2A missile. Who knows what they did to it to turn it into a ground-launched SAM, or even what they did to the warhead. It's quite possible the missile was operating with only an impact fuse. Those things were spitting a lot of particles, almost as if a booster had separated.

It's also hard to tell if it missed by 30 or 40 yards like you said. That's roughly 100 meters. Looks to me like it was closer than that TBH, but you could be right. Either way, that slight pull-up prior to the missile crossing its path was what gave it that distance. Maybe that is what increased the distance and negated the proximity fuse.

That was probably more likely an instinctive reaction by the pilot. Dodging a missile traveling at those speeds with a purposeful, last microsecond move like that is rarely, if ever, seen or captured on film.

Here my take fava bean brain, The first missile scored a direct hit, it may not have destroyed the aircraft, but the aircraft was damaged and was on fire even the aircraft went on after burner the other two missiles didn’t even get close and lost track of the F16...the pilot didn’t evade anything but accelerated..
@Gomig-21 , if he had any shame , he should burry himself and quit saying stupid things...He is not a soldier, he has never been a soldier..and god helps Egypt is he joined the ranks of her army..so far she doesn’t have much to show for..Sinai is lost to a platoon of ISIS, as well as West Egypt...If she didn’t have Israel as a goal keeper...we wonder if she will be existing today as a state..
