UAE's Adnoc to store crude in India's strategic facility; to give two-third of oil for free

.
Strategic reserves have been our biggest concern

I remember reading an article India's strategic reserves were only sufficient for 14 days of supply for the nation

India to have strategic oil reserve by October 2011 - Times of India
For the past 2 years (and particuarly since the fall of the proce of oil) India has been supplimenting this reserve on a huge scale and are now into phase 2.

India seeks $2.2 billion to build second phase of strategic oil reserves| Reuters

Yes please bring it over we will make strategic reserve for you also

This is UAE not Saudis lol dubai is quite liberal
Dubai has liberal economic policies, not a liberal government. In fact, most of the liberal laws only apply to foreigners, not citizens. In terms of policy, the UAE is pretty much subservient to KSA, now a days.

UAE liberal? what a ridiculous thing to say.

Thats not going to happen, news is probably a hoax just imagine they produce oil in UAE and spend huge money to transport it to India and then give 67% of oil as a rent or free, rest 33% left no value because the same amount used to bring the crude oil to India because oil tankers burn expensive diesel + labor cost.
Now tell me they did't have any place in vast deserts to store their oil inside their own country ? why they first produce oil by spending huge amount and then give it to free by spending again huge amount.
Considering that the UAE is investing tens of billions into India, and giving nothing Pakistan, all the while demanding Pakistanis die for Arab causes...yeah, even if this is fake, I wouldn't be surprised if they did decide to go this route in the future.

What's sent in can be stopped by the government. A not so strong Pakistani leadership is blame to it. I hope the Pakistani army is more pragmatic and doesn't let the centers of education in Pakistan become something else.
It's not about strength, it's about arrogance among the UAE's rulers. They're pissed off that Pakistan continues to refuse to join their sectarian war.

UAE does not 'give' India billions of dollars. It invests them - and makes a profit. Its a commercial decision - just like how a large number of countries across the globe invest tens of billions of dollars in India each year. The reason is that India offers a balance between a stability(of economy) and return of investment.

This is unlike Pakistan where money is 'given' or 'gifted' to Pakistan to use as they please. An example would be the very recent 'gift' by KSA to Pakistan govt of over $1 billion to shore up its foreign exchange reserves. Neither do we get that, nor is it required.

A fundamental mistake Pakistanis make is that they assume India is like Pakistan, that money is 'given' and the only reason why its done is for 'geopolitical reasons'.

Its just Economical Ties..Not the other way around as some happen to be live in UAE people are implying...Last I checked it is Retired PAF People (Including my relative) are Serving in UAE AF and UAE Appointed Ex. Head of ISI as its Security Advisor...! But some people here just said "UAE DESPERATE FOR INDIA" Lol...!

Ex Head of I.S.I Ahmed Shuja Pasha has been appointed as advisor on health affairs in U.A.E | Dubai Post
Just to update: Gen Pasha is back in Pakistan and have completed his term there.

Buddy have you been to dubai?

The amount of prostitutes and things that go on undercover is shocking, organised crime ie black money and the likes all takes place there. Compared to KSA yes it is more liberal in arab standards.

You think these arab sheiks are clean as a whistle? Lol get a invite to one of their parties it would be on par with playboy mansion full of cocaine and east european whores.

KSA gave pakistan $1bn to shore up their reserves, but when the arabs came calling the Pakistanis said NO and the shieks got pissed off lol now they will come and kill 5000 birds instead of 500 lol

It's a good time to fill those strategic reserves as prices are low......

India needs to step up construction for oil reserves in a big way, now is time to fill those strategic reserves. Currently India has about 10 days worth of oil for nation but I'd like to see India have minimum 3-4 months supply.

.
ADNOC will still make a lot of profit out of it. One of their main customer is Japan.
I guess by storing crude oil, both ADNOC and ADNOC's eastern customers can save money.
ADNOC is one of the biggest companies of Abudhabi government, which made huge profits even during the recession of 2010.
Albeit this year ADNOC group of companies is not in the best of its form.

This means we can circumvent the ASIA PREMIUM that Asian economies have to pay on top of the oil import bills we get.

Excellent move.

Moreover, it increases our war reserves significantly than earlier and establishes our reliability to those countries who have expressed interest in strategically aligning with us regionally. :)

.
Yes that is why I am saying this news will prove hoax....they are not fool to face heavy losses just to be friend with India, they have real super powers in their pockets. India is under the shadow of nuclear war any big incident trigger nuclear war.

I don't know about hoax or not but so far it is official. Let's see.

What nuclear war are you talking about? Unless and until you guys start it, none of us will. China is too smart to start it.

And in case your military fails to keep nukes away from jihadis, then the whole world is in danger and UAE is closer from your Karachi than it is from Delhi.

Why they want to loose their assets since even their religion in not same and more on above India is enemy of Pakistan and why the hell they want to loose only nuclear Islamic nation just for India....Pakistan fight their wars and India stand by Israel. lolsss fools can believe this nonsense.

The underlined part is where your problem is.

It is not UAE at fault but your narrow mindedness that is not letting you see beyond a certain horizon.

Swiss banks are the most safest option not UAE .
Any way Indians have good influence in UAE's economy that is a fact.

Not quite.

You'd be surprised that UAE has a lot of our black money there. This is done through a lot of channels. The IB, RAW and other agencies know this.

Remember the Mauritius case where they gave us a couple of islands rather than disclosing the black money details?

Though I really feel that this has more to do with the ISIS problem spreading. ADNOC wants to keep its reserves safe and use our storage as transit hub point across via tankers.

. . . .
Lol..And how do you know?
.
He himself revealed it by posting some Urdu words and by replying to Urdu/Hindi posts. . And he himself said his young son watches Bollywood movies. Do normal Arabs speak Hindi/Urdu and watches Bollywood movies. May be he is a citizen of UAE but certainly has roots in Pakistan. And certainly one can understand a person's allegiance from his/her posts.

And if he is not of Pakistani origin/Pakistani then that would be truly shocking.

If it works in the favor of both the countries then why not??
I saw in the news that some big names of UAE had visited India. Sh.Mohammed Al Nahyan, officially the DM of UAE but the partial ruler of the country. Sh.Khalifa is not well since some time now, and Sh. mohammed(ruler's younger brother and second in line for the post) is the one who takes decisions. Sh.Hamdan Al Makhtoum, son of Dubai ruler, he will take over the post after his father. The decision to use India's storage had begun somewhere in 2014 by both UAE govt and Kuwait govt, so i'm assuming Kuwait govt should also make an equally interesting offer to the Indian govt.
For once it has been made clear to "a lot of people", that its money/business that matters most, and not religion. Lol
