Featured UAE visa suspension for Pakistan, others due to security concerns: report

KSA and UAE are morally corrupt and in the US chokehold, they can never be trusted. Whether we had sent 50 thousand troops to fight the Yemen war or 100 thousand, the end result would be the same. Why should our sons give their lives for these corrupt power-hungry kings?

Their current trajectory is validating Pakistan's stance. I would rather back Iran and Houthis to put KSA and UAE in their right place.

amazing,

Ho,

Yemen crisis.

Pakistanis and Pakistan will pay a horrible price in the end.
50 K troops sitting on uar would have been a better option.

How about Netanyahu who thinks all Arabs are sub-human??? How come the Zionist get all the love... If it was about having a spine...???

Absolutely and it's a question for all the Arab lovers here

Why do the Jews get to humilate Arabs and get a pass
Why do a hindutva extremist shithole like India who spouts abuse at Muslims get a pass

Why did the ayrabs target Pakistan???????

Now that's the question

For too long have zardaris and sharifs left us at the mercy of these autocrats because of incompetency

We need to move on

I believe it's mostly about how Pakistani nationals are sitting in UAE and bad-mouthing UAE online regarding UAE decisions. On how they are better Muslims than Emiratis. They are afraid of how Pakistanis would influence the locals. It's an indirect order to shut up your mouths and do not talk on Emiratis issue. They are not licking anyone's balls.

ok I see .. and this based on Indian experience where Indians sitting in UAE cursing Islam and then being deported

Issuing visa for nationals of 13 countries has been suspended:
Algeria, Kenya, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Syria and Somalia.

Look like the one thing they all have in common is that they are Muslims, if UAE would have added Indonesia and Malasia the list would have been complete.

Surely UAE could not have Muslims bothering beautiful Israelis in UAE.😂😂

.
and what millions of Pakistanis already in UAE and working for development of UAE?

These UAE , saudi camel jockeys and sand niggers are scums of the earth who doesn't even qualify as human beings . From slavery to racism , everything they do is against the tenets of Islam but somehow they think they are the most superior breed of Muslims.
Their existence today is the result of appeasement of israel and the west.
Few days ago there was a saudi youtuber who openly expressed his love for israel and later when he visited aqsa mosque he was thrown away by the palestinians.
They have no investment in education, civilization or skills . Let the oil dries up and you will see they will be starving in deserts and ultimately will realize their true worth.
They didn't even know there is an oil beneath that sand it was the westners who told them so. Even today the most offices overthere and the economy is run by educated people from India ,pakistan and some western countries. They are just sitting back and enjoying the lifestyle which comes from investing oil money .

Islamabad was not formally intimated about the suspension of work or employment visas, according to sources

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has suspended issuance of work or employment visas to 13 Muslim-majority countries including Pakistan, a move people associated with recruitment agencies warn could negatively affect the country’s economy.

In fact, since the ban came into effect on 18 of November, one recruitment agency alone in Rawalpindi has lost 3,000 jobs which have now been diverted to India by its client.
Initially, it was reported that the suspension was only limited to visit visas but the UAE authorities now confirmed that work and employment visas have also been banned till further notice.

A letter issued by the Dubai Airport Free zone says: “As per the latest circular released by the Immigration Department Entry Permit Applications [for individuals outside the country] including applications for new employment visa and new visit visa [long, short and tourist] will be suspended until further notice.”
The countries that have been affected by the ban include Pakistan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Yemen to the name the few.

A Foreign Office statement last week suggested that the ban was only on visit visas and believed to be linked to the second wave of Covid-19.

However, a report appeared in the Al-Jazeera quoting unnamed official claimed the move was linked to security concerns, although those security concerns were not elaborated.

Sources in Islamabad said Pakistan was not formally intimated about the suspension. Authorities have been trying to reach out to the UAE authorities to ascertain the reason.

If the novel coronavirus was the reason behind ban, India should have been in the list since it has reported one of the highest cases in the world, commented Senator Anwar Baig, who runs a recruitment agency.

Baig was of the view that suspension of work or employment visas were worrisome and he believed that the ban was “Pakistan specific”.

The UAE is home to tens of thousands of Pakistani workers, who have been employed in different sectors and send foreign remittances considered key to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
Giving break up, Senator Baig told The Express Tribune that in 2016 Pakistan sent 326,000 workers to the UAE, 290,000 in 2016, 275,000 in 2017, 208,000 in 2018, 211,000 in 2019 and even during the Covid-19 outbreak until October 51,000 Pakistanis went to the Gulf country for employment.
These workers, according to Senator Baig, annually send close to $4 billion remittances.

He feared that if the issue was not taken up with the UAE authorities at the highest level Pakistan would lose the market to India.

A recruitment agent told The Express Tribune that his company was supposed to send 3,000 Pakistani workers in the hospitality sector in view of the Chrisms by December this year. However, after the UAE imposed a ban on employment visas, his client now turned to India for fulfilling 3,000 jobs.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfi Bukhari confirmed to The Express Tribune that work visas for Pakistan had been suspended by the UAE for last 3 days.

He, however, was not aware if the ban was still in place.

Senator Baig urged Prime Minister Imran Khan and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take up the issue with the UAE authorities.

Although, there is no official confirmation, some observers link the ban with Pakistan’s apparent hiccup in ties with the Arab countries.

There’s no ban on export of workforce to UAE: Zulfi

The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfikar Bukhari, Thursday dispelled the notion that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) banned issuance of visas to Pakistani workers.

In a tweet, he said that he got in touch with the UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and spoke to him about the issues faced by the Pakistani workforce in the UAE.

Bukhari, in a statement of his own on Twitter, said that contrary to media reports, Minister Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli "categorically stated there is no ban on the export of Pakistani workforce".

Bukhari went on to state that there has been an 11 percent increase in UAE in knowledge workers from Pakistan.

According to the statement, workers, including Pakistanis, laid off due to Covid-19 restrictions, and which were registered on the Virtual Labour Market Database are given priority.

He further stated that "10-year golden visa applications are also being encouraged".

Bukhari thanked Thani Al Hamli for his continued support. "Looking forward to continued collaboration with UAE leadership to address the issues of our diaspora," he added.

However, despite all the claims made by Bukhari, it is a fact that a large number of Pakistanis working in UAE – some of them have businesses and been working there for over three decades – have been deported to the country without citing any reason.

According to reports, majority of these people who have been expelled by the UAE authorities within 72 hours, fearing a “possible revolt” from some Pakistanis after the UAE recognised Israel.

This is pertinent to mention that Pakistanis – anywhere in the world – have always been strongly opposed to recognition of Israel, unless the issue of Palestine is resolved.

All Pakistani citizens are unable to travel to Israel as Pakistani passports bear an inscription outlining the invalidity of the passport in regards to Israel.

UAE should be more fearful than Pakistanis. Their advisors are britishers, their friends are Israelis, and their masters are Americans.
Only Allah can save them now.
Pakistan will face poverty, but we have still our weapons and war experience intact.
What will UAE do, I don't know. And tbh, now I don't want to know.
