What's new

UAE told the U.S. it will suspend talks on F-35 jets, says Emirati official

They do and they don’t. Basically they want to get the US intertwined in their fights from a support and ally perspective namely Iran. And Iran isn’t to be taken lightly especially with how its used Political Shiaism to embed both political and militant power into Arab Shia populations. Lets put it this way, some 24 countries in the world have populations in which varying percentages swear allegiance to religious-political leadership with ties to or direct control via Tehran.

I would not worry about Shias in Pakistan or India

Disagree especially w.r.t Pakistan. Many of the poor and lower middle class Shia variety join their Sunni counterparts in joining sponsored terror groups for monetary reasons. Especially from Rural areas where the state is only represented or active by the weekly mailman drop off.In case of a conflicting interest with Iran one could see a massive spike in sectarian attacks and in case of full on conflict see members of the military perhaps express hesitation in engaging them.

Indian shia’s are more vociferous towards local battles and reportedly also made up the undesirable activity underground in UP specifically the Lucknow-Kakori-Barelli area. Coming down from Siraj Ud daula to that status has been odd.
Otherwise they aren’t very practicing so muslim by name is best suited for them.

On the Arab side though it likely is more vociferous simply because that is actual ancestral significance to this ancient tribal squabble.

It's not a decision based on principle by the UAE. It's a decision because they are being treated by the Americas as second class in the relationship... The American want extra $$$ while providing a stripped down version of the jet. The UAE are just bluffing so the Americans can give them a face saving option when they sit next to their other enslaved gulf and say, "see, master loves us. He give me good plane!".
whatever the reasons its a first where someone else is calling the shots .. not America
cancelling / postponing the sale is big deal. this means UAE cant be snubbed into accepting a stripped down version of F35 on humiliating conditions and restrictions for an exaggerated price.

In the Idlib operation of the TAF, many militants of Liwa Zainebiyoun died. There was a lot of news about it at that time.

I don't understand why UAE is so adamant to get F35 when it is coming with all bugs ... They should look for some open source and sanction proof gadgets ..
They are fool by all the hype and marketing of F-35 initially but now they realized their mistakes.

.
Not approving of F35 by US administration to UAE doesn't it tell you, the Isreali or US will confirm use this weapon against Arabs GCC block specifically in future. The signal is loud + clear.

.
if UAE goes ahead and gives the 5G contract to Huawei not only should the F35 be cancelled but all spares to their current American fleet should be restricted

UAE has no brains and plenty of money and China is using its software to spy on its users by doing patent infringement which why a independent watch dog banned them from UK

its also proven that Huawei published a patent in 2020 stating how its facial recognition technology targeted Ughurs features

this is using technology to target a ethnic minority

any country doing business with Huawei should be sanctioned

Sure they do. Because the UAE is such a threat to China and is it's biggest enemy........... :disagree:

PS Do you actually read the bs you write before you post it. You obviously have comprehension problems.

.
LOL if the UAE thought it could curry favors and in return get a fully beefed up F-35 they were obviously mistaken. Only Israel gets a fully beefed up F-35. No Arab country will get such a version. Arabs can recognize Israel all day long. That won't change the ground realities one bit.

huawei vs F35

USA is mad :D
Advanced ICT infra is increasingly vital to the progress of a nation's economy and welfare, the west may continue to exploit the Arabs but at least should allow them to develop. Apparently the GCC states are becoming more assertive in defending their own interests that's why UAE tells U.S. it will suspend F-35 talks following Huawei unease. Undeterred by US threat, UAE is steadily persuing with building an advanced country for their future generations, like this:

Chinese tech major Huawei to build Dubai South's smart transportation and data management needs
All-encompassing deal sees Dubai South and Huawei work on multiple projects

Huawei gets cracking on a mobility network for Dubai South. Pictured here are Jerry Liu, CEO, Huawei UAE and Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation Corporation and Dubai South.

Dubai: The Chinese tech giant Huawei, known more for its smartphones and 5G networks, will offer its services to oversee data management, transportation and security needs at Dubai South, the city-within-a-city.

To develop the smart transportation system, Dubai South plans to deploy a fully connected, high-bandwidth, low-latency private network for massive machine interactions built on Huawei technology. It will also tap Huawei to designing an integrated operations centre for centralised monitoring and control operations, traffic, security and other services.
