If so then I personally think it's for better for both Yemen and Arab coalition. UAE has thankfully contributed in liberating Yemen from Huthies but it wants to separate Yemen to two parts Southern and Northern. There wasn't a good way to tell them no except by hosting members of Al-islah and MB of yemen in Riyadh. Saudi doesn't consider a two part Yemen on the table at all.

The houthis are terrorists, destroy their lives SA let them live in caves, let their children eat rocks:tup:

Keep liberating yemen from huthies :D

I see same fate of Saudis and Iran. Both will loose miserably and some terorist coalition will take ove yemen. These two nations will be the most pathetic losers ever to exist.

The Emirati road map for Yemen was more realistic, in my opinion.

Nobody likes Hadi. Even the southerners don't like him.

Also, the Saudis should be very careful about the Muslim Brotherhood. These guys are closer to Qatar and Turkey than to KSA and, once given the opportunity, will turn their backs on Saudi Arabia.

Isn't Muslim Brotherhood illegal in Saudi Arabia?

IMO Yemen should split again. The north is Shia. The south is Sunni. Only the collapse of communism led the north to conquer the south.

I doubt terrorists will permanently/successfully take over Yemen. They might try and succeed to some extent, just as they did in Iraq and Syria, but that'll simply give the Americans a great excuse to return to Yemen.

That said, I agree with you that nobody's going to win around here.

Frankly speaking, all Muslim countries are losers. None of them can truly assert themselves on the global stage. They all talk big but, when push comes to shove, they all end up failing miserably. That applies to "mighty" Turkey as well. Honestly, Indonesia is probably the one with the greatest potential, and that's because the Indonesians are culturally different from the Middle Easterners and are fortunate enough to be living thousands of miles away from this woeful part of the world.

Overall, I think the Israelis are the biggest winners around here.

Yemen's going to break up sooner or later. The same goes for Syria, Iraq and Libya, in my opinion. And it won't stop there. Other countries in the region will break up as well.

Ultimately, Israel will become stronger and more confident when that happens.

KSA doesn't back them in first place. Secondly the party itself is divided on how it should approach conflict. Third, no, MB has no intention to spark violence there.

This move was expected, UAE is looking into other arenas to play roles in, but it's not effective with its policies.

Alqaeda in yemen has grown thousand fold due to space given to them by this conflict. They will emerge stronger than ever after saudis draw out. They will eat houthis raw once they shift their attention towards them. This conflict will now stay there for decades. Even houthis will not be able to form a government.

That was the ultimate goal there. US involved saudis in Yemen then left them hanging dry. Saudis had facy toys so they thought it will be over in a month but they lost miserably. GCC nation have become lazy due to their luxurious life style. They have no vision for a long term future and just want short term gain.

It's not just illegal. Both Saudi Arabia and the UAE labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization a few years ago, so it's a little bit ironic that Saudi Arabia is currently on good terms with the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood.

Don't forget that, back in the days of the Arab Spring, the Saudis were extremely worried about the possibility of the Muslim Brotherhood taking over Yemen, especially after they saw the Muslim Brotherhood come to power in places like Egypt, Tunisia and Libya. Ironically, this prompted the Saudis to support the Houthis against the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood. In fact, that's how the Houthis became very powerful in the first place! So, ironically, it was the Saudis who made the Houthis strong enough to take over Yemen lol.

Saudi Arabia has always played one group off against the other in Yemen. When the Houthis were strong in 2009 and 2010, the Saudis sided with the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood and other factions. And when the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood became powerful enough to take over the country in 2011 and 2012, the Saudis began to support the Houthis.

This policy won't work forever. In fact, this policy backfired badly on Saudi Arabia in 2014 when the Houthis became so powerful that they not only defeated the Muslim Brotherhood but were able to take over the entire country lol.

Ultimately, however, the biggest threat to Saudi Arabia is the Muslim Brotherhood -- not the Houthi movement.

So the Saudis need to be very cautious about helping the Muslim Brotherhood, especially since these guys are still very close to the Qataris.

If the Muslim Brotherhood becomes strong again, Qatar will suddenly become more assertive in Yemen, just like it used to be in 2011 and 2012.

That said, I don't think this will happen anymore. I think the Yemeni Muslim Brotherhood has become very weak in recent years.

In the end, Yemen will either break up or become a federalized state. The northerners are mostly Shia and sympathetic with the Houthis. The southerners are mostly Sunni and sympathetic with the South Yemen movement.

The best solution for Yemen is fragmentation along sectarian lines.

It seems that the only country with actual war-fighting history and capabilities, who warned the overconfident Arabs not to start this nonsense, was proven right. I want to ask the moron Emirati minister who had the gall to threaten Pakistan on its non-participation in a stupid war, if he feels like he wants to open his mouth now. Listen to those with experience you moron.
