They may not be top tier missiles, but when salvos of these things (or cheaper variants) are coming close enough, mixed in with higher end / full capability versions, then it may overwhelm the defenses.

40,000 dollar missile for the Iron Dome, 300,000$ for the Davids Sling. That's actually very affordable in terms of missile prices.

New laser system will cost only a few dollars per interception, and have basically unlimited ammunition, as all they need to operate is electricity (As opposed to chemical lasers).
