Money, requirement, option and AAUKAT... plays a big role...

Mk1A is not on paper, although Mk2 is. And both planes will be a reality very, very soon.

In case HAL is allowed to set up a fourth LCA line, then production can be ramped up to 39 jets a year very quickly. This can free up production for exports.



By the time LCA will be allowed for exports, we won't need military technology from Israel.
So how about israeI selling military goods to Pakistan!

as of those thinking MK1a os a on paper fighter needs to know

1. its wieght reduction programme is all but over its almost 550 Kg lessser in wieght than MK1 IOC

2. Israeli EL 2052 AESA Radar & Israeli version of GaN AESA based RWR+EW+ECM & Jammaer suite cum unified avionics suite is there on it which is more compact and lighter and has abetter cooling system as that on MK1

3. MK1a has a bit streched and more streamlined body which has lesser drag making it more fuel effient and it carries more fuel combient with new engines it has 5-10% better combat radius depending on load & altitude & other factors with sa,me fuel consumption while carries more fuel stats are not yet out


4.MK1A has amuch much better under cariage and barke system which does not need too much mantainence and helps it in sortie rate over Mk1

5. MK1A has a retractable IFR probe against fixed IFR probe in MK1 and a better OBOGS and a better Cockpit layout with better gen HUD & HMDS and other pilot aids

In other words, the point defence fighter is no match for a frontline interceptor.
it is a POINT DEFNCE Fighter and a last line of defnce fighter for CAS & internal air policing role not a Front line fighter that role is already been given to likes of Mig 29s and SU 30 MKI or say rafale while mirage 2000 & Jaguars are for SEAD & DEAD and bombing and multi role


Tejas and Mig21 Bisons are for POINT defnce ... how hard is that for Pakistanies to undernstand :sarcastic:

That will never happen. The Israelis actually consider Pakistan to be an existential threat because of the Islamic bomb.

Also, the Tejas won't be a destabilising technology in Iran's hands compared to what the Israelis already have. It's only a 4.5th gen aircraft. And we are talking about the late 2020s in any case.

he he he he what you dont know or want to know is that same POINT defnce fighter @ LCA Tejas MK1 IOC has

1. 4 Channel DIGITAL FLY BY WIRE whne a joint ghiter has analog fly by wire in pitch & yaw axis only

2. LCA has HOBS while joint fighter does not

3. LCA has 45% of its body wieght & 98% of its skin made in carbon composites making it for radar waves to detect it and thus decreasing its RCS in real times which is less than 1/3rd of Mirage2000 which is lesser of that of F16

4. LCA MK1 has same Radar /avionics & LDP & Missile combo as that of F16 SUFA

5. LCA has just completed 4000+ flying hours of testing without a single aroel mishap which is a record in its catogory

6. Total LCA programme with all tooling and buying or engines & parts and weapons and tooling rigs and and all money spend on making factories + research labs and sallareies of engineers and pilots and technincians over the years with cost of prototypes and all just costed somthing over 3 billion US dollars wich is cheap given the atosphere we are able to make and ammount we are able to learn from it so yes we bragging about it why shount we :azn:

as fr super cruise that trait is for 5th fighter not 4.5 or 4.5++ type fighter but guess what @CriticalThought MK1A is getting GE414 with 97 KN thrust and deu to 550Kg lesser wieght it just might SC or go on edge of it :sarcastic:

Sorry to say, but a India has adopted a fighter as point defense purpose as the same class or even better of which Pakistan is using as front class fighter

The JF-17 has more flight hours, more in service time than the “still not ready” Tejas has and will have in ten years given the current “ramp up” in production. Unlike your genda phool display piece running around the back of trucks, both JF-17s that were lost ended up being pilot error and not cases of sludge filled piping that left HAL engineers spending months trying to have a prototype ready.

You want to talk about vomit smart ***, the same UAE government was interested in the JF-17 ten years ago, just as they were in the Su-35 and every other aircraft.
