Ethiopian do not share DNA with Arabs, Arabs do..Ethiopians and most East coast Africans share their DNA with Berbers..And Berber DNA can be found in Asia, Europe, North America and South America...
Example where Arabs claims a stay of 6 centuries in Spain and Portugal for example, their is almost an unsignificant DNA presence in the population, while Berber DNA, was found in 9% of the Portuguese population and higher in the Spaniards.
Another example, Tunisia, where the Arabs inhabited Cartage, only 4% of the population had a presence of an Arab DNA..which makes most of the scientists and anthropologues réfutent any Arab occupation of North Africa or Southern Europe...

As part of a deal to establish a military base in the semi-autonomous region, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will train Somaliland security forces, Somaliland's president said on 15 February.

The UAE has already started to invest hundreds of million dollars in the territory on a strategically important stretch of coastline on the Gulf of Aden. In 2017, the Emirates began construction of a base on a site at the airport of the Somaliland port city Berbera. They will be allowed to maintain a presence for thirty years. Berbera is less than 300 km (190 miles) south of war-torn Yemen, where UAE troops are fighting rebels as part of a Saudi-backed coalition.

The UAE will train police and military forces in Somaliland, which wants independence from war-torn Somalia but is not recognized internationally. Somaliland broke away from Somalia in 1991 and has acted as a de-facto state since then.

The fact is that the UAE has become more assertive in its foreign policy in recent years. Its armed forces have been fighting in the Yemen conflict since 2015 and in the past deployed in international operations including Kosovo and Afghanistan.

The Emirati military base, which should be completed this year, will guarantee economic development and security for Somaliland and act as a deterrent to extremist groups in the region. Somaliland's Foreign Minister, Saad Ali Shire, declines to disclose how many UAE soldiers would be stationed at the base.

Several regional powers have set up military bases along the Horn of Africa coastline, including Turkey in Somalia's capital. The United States, China, Japan and France all have bases in neighboring Djibouti.

You're telling this to a guy who couldn't care less what you think about Habesha women. He only copied and pasted the original poster's pictures and was spewing nothing but his usual hatred.

This is the gentleman who made the original and informative post that the guy you quoted did nothing but bastardize.

Habesha women have similar facial features to Arabians and Arab women (IMO) and the same beautiful and large famous eyes.

And interestingly enough, around 40-50% of their DNA is ancient Arabian/Caucasian DNA which explains why they look so different from all other Africans in terms of facial features and even skin color often. Obviously this is mostly limited to Highlanders and Southern Semitic speakers in Horn of Africa.

Another example is the late Emperor Haile Selassie.



He had this majestic/noble/dignified look that many Arabians/Arabs have (facial features) and which you can see in old portraits of Arab rulers, tribal elders etc.

Give him a keffiyeh and some lightening cream, and you would not look at him as a foreigner until he opened his mouth.



Seen this with Horners (Somalis included) many times and until I knew the historical/ancestral facts, I was always a bit baffled. You know, just like when seeing Southern Europeans, in particular people from Southern Spain, Malta, Sicily and Cyprus. Same story like with Horn Africa. There was this facial familiarity straight away that naturally is not there with say the Congolese or Mongolians.

Basically if the Arab world wants to gain an foothold in Africa and increase cooperation and trade ties, Horn of Africa would be the natural ally here. Along with Sahel nations and Swahili coastline (Eastern Africa). Ample potential really. In particular given the demographic and economic rise of those African nations. They might not be heavyweights today, but there is potential and that is undeniable. Arab leaders should not miss this opportunity. Chinese are already present and given the increasing ties between the Arab world and China, it would be foolish to waste this opportunity.

Yes, they really are. I have heard from many travelers to Egypt from KSA and other Arab countries, that Nubians of Southern Egypt were really, really hospitable and friendly. They are probably your equivalent to our Bedouins in this regard. It's always a bit overwhelming.

Yes, the divides between Ethiopians, Eritreans, Somalis etc. are senseless but it's not like Arabs cannot say the same thing sadly. We are worse, unfortunately.

From what I understand this anti-Arab Somalian is from Mogadishu (Southern Somalia and not far from as south as Kenya) while Arab countries and Arabs, traditionally, had the closest ties to Northern and central Somalia, although there was presence in Southern Somalia too but less so in comparison. Northern Somalia is basically Somaliland.



Some say Somaliland extends all the way to the Arabian Sea/Indian Ocean in a straight line. It's called Puntland and is basically the same as Somaliland from what I understand. An extension in other words just with a different name.



I think that there is a rivalry between those regions (Somaliland and Puntland and remaining Somalia) otherwise those de facto independent areas of Somalia would not have emerged without this rivalry.

UAE doing a look of similar projects and Arabs have an ancient and deep foothold in Somalia, Horn of Africa and Eastern Africa (second to none in terms of foreigners) and obviously there is little chance of this changing anytime soon. Thus this decision by UAE and presence is understandable and a continuation of old practices.

Anyway, unfortunately for Somalia(or what is left of it) Somaliland is already a quasi independent country and they are the most peaceful prosperous region in a war torn islamists militant infected Somalia. As such, the UAE investing in Somaliland will only strengthen Somaliland's already stronger position vis a vis a divided weak war torn Somalia. It's difficult to see what somalia can even do even if they wanted to . For one the country barely has a proper functioning government, neither does it have a proper national defence force /army. Somalia is the closest thing we have as a failed state, as such its normal that foreign and regional powers will intervene in the country as they deem fit. Nothing wrong there. Just about each country's national interests, so can't blame THE UAE for having more means to influence events there.

Anyway, unfortunately for Somalia(or what is left of it) Somaliland is already a quasi independent country and they are the most peaceful prosperous region in a war torn islamists militant infected Somalia. As such, the UAE investing in Somalia will only strengthen Somaliland's already stronger position vis a vis a divided weak war torn Somalia. It's difficult to see what somalia can even do. For one the country barely has a proper functioning government, neither does it have a proper national defence force /army. Somalia is the closest thing we have as a failed state, as such its normal that foreign and regional powers will intervene in the country as they deem fit. Nothing wrong there. Just about each country's national interests, so can't blame THE UAE for having more means to influence events there.

Yep, 100% on the money. I can't blame Somalia for not wanting the country to be divided up and Somaliland becoming a separatist state, but it's happening and all the wolves are taking a piece so you can't blame the regional states either -- that have huge stakes in that critical spot that transits into the Red Sea and is close to the Arabian Peninsula's volatile coast of Yemen -- to be concerned about how things will shape up and who is taking up residence with power to affect what happens there. Even Djibouti (take a look at the powers stationed there) and Eritrea are states of concern to all the regional powers, all wanting a piece of the action to secure their interests.
