As if you've done a comparative study of health systems of the world. This is the arrogant perception of many Americans, that everything in America and about America is 'the best'.
LOL, why would you assume that I haven't? I'd even go so far as to venture a guess that I've spent more man hours slaving away in the US medical establishment than most people on this forum.
I could sit here and write chapters about why your argument (by no means an original one) is fallacious, but that would be a waste of my time; and many smarter, more articulate and more experienced people have already addressed this issue.
BTW, medical tourism in certain third world nations (India probably being one of the more prominent ones) thrives primarily on the backs of Western Europeans and Canadians who have nationalized health care schemes. Also most of the cutting edge technology, drugs, devices and evidence based clinical science implemented in Europe and other parts of the developed (and developing) world come from American institutions which overwhelmingly out number, out produce and out perform everyone else on the planet.
Don't get me wrong, I have a great respect for scientists and practitioners from other parts of the world, especially Europe and Asia. But even by their admission (and I hold that in higher regard than anything else) the US system as a whole is superior; which is what made them come here in the first place.
Selective examples in manipulated contexts to "prove" something is for the most part a wasted effort; as are issuing poorly constructed propaganda statements against the US while directly mooching off its benefits (a European pastime). Comprehensively we are better off, and will probably remain that way for the foreseeable future.
Lastly, if you're under the impression that Western Europe or other parts of the developed world are free of child abuse of any kind, including labor and trade problems then I suggest you look a bit deeper into the issue; and not just through google searches.
