I agree with that but we don't have freedom of speech and this bias and extreme presentation of ideas by the media is brainwashing and manufacturing a country of mindless robots. I am all for gay marrige but the way the liberals treated the conservatives in this matter on every media platform was disturbing, as if it were a sin and invalid to even have an opinion slightly different from SCOTUS's decision.

Yes, but it's another thing when the media is trying to steer the public in a certain direction. There, you are not reporting facts but it becomes propaganda : to stir an opinion in the masses that favors the policies of the rich. This explains the islamophobia here as well. The truth is the American public should be allowed to have and voice their own opinions because as citizens those are rights promised to them, but when the elite abuses it's own citizens like that using the media, it needs to be pointed out. The liberals reacted and treated the conservatives as narrow-mindedly as the conservatives treat them, and extreme behavoir is harmful. We need more independents and less idiots who color themselves dems or reps. We have the greatest constitution, everything else is getting screwed up now

It is but I was commenting on the media's and country's reaction to it and pointing out some things I did not like when you brought in freedom of speech and there I had to point out that we actually have none, not only is what we say plagarized but also what we think and that's not what freedom of speech is about

Whatever degree of freedom of speech we have, imperfect as it is, the present SC decision just ensures it is equal for all citizens including LBGT ones. That is its job which it is trying to do well. What you are saying may be correct, but it is the job of other parts of the society and government, to resolve and evolve.

I am all for this law. Be advised I am not gay. When I was young I was extremely homphobic. As I got mature I realized that my hated for homosexuels was indicative of my unrefined, ignorence. I gone on to appreciate that what marks us as civilized is the ability to deal with divergence. The ability to feel for the humanity and that includes the poor, the weak, the downtrodden.

I don't always live up to the ideals I hold dear because I still struggle to deal with the base instincts within me. However my intellect informs me that if this is what the US Court wants fine play to them.

govt did nothing, delhi HC said homosexuality is not criminal, it should be removed from a british era law we inherited.
Case went to supreme court in which it was reversed, so back to criminal again.
