U.S offering Apaches as well as AESA radar

Topgun, the US sales you what suits your basic requirement..US will never try to bring you up to the level of Indian military strength as strategically and economically it is not feasible...whereas US is willing to sale some high tech equipment to India as they know India has to the ability to procure such equipment and can afford its operational cost...

At some time in the past they treated us like you but after seeing our economic growth and potential as a democratic country they seem to have changed their strategies...

Also, we have a vague neighbour whose intentions are not so clear hence we need all and everything that can protect our nations...

if selected , russian mig-35 will also came with AESA radar as the ongoing mig-29 upgrade will also be having AESA radar...

anyway , in next 5-6 years everyone going to develope their own AESA radar including india.....so , nothing surprising if US cleared it for sell to IAF...
