Zumwalt has bigger RCS than Type 055. Just look at it.

Bigger physical shape does not equal higher RCS. Goes to show you know nothing of which you talk about. On Radar, the Zumwalt looks like a small fishing boat......they even had to increase its RCS during maritime operations so that it couldn't be missed by friendlies (or at least that's how the rumor went).

Just what will the Zumwalt use to destroy the Type 055 with? The Mk 41 VLS doesn't carry any anti ship missiles and Zumwalt is stealthy but not to the point where it can get close enough undetected to use it's deck guns. The best it can hope for is to run away.

Zumwalt was supposed to phase out Burke the way Burke phased out Spruance. But alas no money. Out of the 32 Zumwalt planned, only 3 were built.

No money or too expensive?? Those are 2 very different things...

And that's just the $$$ aspect. The Zumwalt tech is so advanced that there is still no competitor 2 decades later.......the program began in 2001 (or before/around that time) if I'm not correct.

Why have 50 Zumwalts when 3 are more than enough?? Also, if there were to be 50 Zumwalts, the price would decrease sharply. The price is only high (not that much anyways for the US) because only 3 were produced...
