If true, then, it is a commendable act, though I have to say, the way Americans the murderers of millions of innocents around the world are portraying this small and insignificant event, is pathetic. These events are normal part of international sailing and has no significance what so ever. Anyways, one should not forget that pirates exist because there are western elements helping them getting paid. UK firms are supporting pirates and funneling them hostage money. So it would not be a surprise if these Iranians had been tracked by US navy then taken hostage by pirates who are friends with British and then "freed" by US navy so that they could film the whole thing and buy good will from Iranian people whom they used to be killing along with Saddam not long ago. Also after this rescue, Iranians are supposed to forget about Jundallah and killings of Iranian scientists. A good deed is honorable only if it is not advertised on prime time TV.

In international waters upon receiving a distress call, it is considered an honor to save the ship in distress, of course Saudis can not understand this, since their navy is tiny and is manned by Pakistani, American and Bangladeshi personnel. So Saudis themselves do not know anything about maritime rules and conduct. Iranian navy itself has conducted numerous search and rescue missions saving lots of lives. Such things have happened even during the wars, where opponents have saved the civilian ships of the opponents. Though this is the first time a demoralized navy such as US navy has to publicize, advertise, broadcast and use this event as a propaganda tool in order to buy good will from the world. This shows how low US navy has sunk.

oh I am not Irani but i definitely think that it's a propaganda because US don't want it's vessel to be attacked cuz US knows that if it's attacked, they will have no choice but to retaliate which wouldn't be good for the region at this time of the year!

rest assured, iranians will never dare to touch any US ships, they learned that very well back in the 80's when uncle sam's navy gave them some hard spanking when they attacked oil tankers in the gulf, actually iranian did not even shot a single bullet from a pistol against any american in the last 21 years at all, they just yell and talk on TV to feed the masses but they don't dare to do any thing.
