Having said that, I am glad Pakistan is using US military aid rather than borrowed funds or its taxpayers' money to buy weapons. Pakistan has much better uses for its money than splurge it on F-16s.
Yes and it also increases it budget to 130 billion!!!!
Also,
"
The Pakistan government last month allocated an additional Rs35 billion for the 2009-10 defence budget due to expenses on anti-militancy operations and the need to acquire modern equipment to counter a perceived threat from India."
And then you say "unlike Indian government, Pakistani government doesn't get in the way of others helping its needy citizens."
Whereas The truth is:
"The six months PHRP 2010, (February-July) makes Pakistan the second highest recipient of aid after Sudan, which is provided $1878m annually."
Can you still justify the F16 purchase, The awacs purchase, the need for new avionics and weapons purchase ???
Practice what you preach!!!!!!!!!
India, on the other hand, is borrowing heavily (its budget deficit is now 10% of GDP vs 5% for Pak) to fund its weapons purchases.
Again, generating statements and comparing oranges and appleas makes you look stupid!!!
Please prove that budget deficit is because of India's weapon's purchase.
Please prove budget deficits have nothing to do with global economic downturn but its only because of weapon's purchase
Prove the following stimulus packages had nothing to do with the budget deficit :
* Pay & Pension Revision: Rs. 28,505 Crores ($5.85 Billion)
* Oil Subsidy (Oil Bonds): Rs. 65,942 Crores ($13.54 Billion)
* Fertilizer Subsidy (incl Bonds): Rs. 64,866 Crores ($13.32 Billion)
* Food Subsidy: Rs. 11471 Crores ($2.36 Billion)
* NREGA: Rs. 25,000 Crores ($5.13 Billion)
* Farmers Debt Relief: Rs. 15,000 Crores($3.08 Billion)
* Transfer to States: Rs. 12,741 Crores ($2.61 Billion)
And please don't get me started on Pakistan's 5% and comparing it to India's 10%, like that is something to be proud of
, its is very clear your knowledge on economics is very poor!!!!
actually even in other areas, you are yet to prove to me
How spending less than 3% GDP on defense will improve India's poverty, when what it is already doing is not improving the situation much!
