U.S Military launches cruise missile attack on Syria!

that will only help with aircraft/bm defence, you need pantsir to defend against cm's.

Pantsir-S1

Current operators:

Syrian Arab Armed Forces36 to 50 on order signed in 2006 as part of arms package worth about US$1 billion; deliveries began in August 2007; Jane's Defence Weekly reported in May 2007 that 50 systems are on order by Damascus and that at least ten of those Pantsirs would be handed over to Iran by the end of 2008.

Short: Pantsir Systems are oprational in Syria and Iran

wikipedia isn't a reliable source even with provided sources, i understand the secrecy of such a deal if it were to take place as arms transfers are public knowledge but there's little evidence that iran has access to these systems outside syria.

Why would Russia (one Christian country) fight with the West (Christian countries) to save Syria/Iran (Muslim countries) ?? Russia is just there to prop up Assad and to kill the "Muslim terrorists" trying to oust him.

This is the efficacy of the strike.

The US-led strike was aimed at the following targets:

Four missiles were launched at the area of the Damascus International Airport. All these missiles were intercepted.
12 missiles were launched at the Al-Dumayr Military Airport. All these missiles were intercepted.
18 missiles were launched at the Bley Military Airport. All these missiles were intercepted.
12 missiles were launched at the Shayarat Military Airport. All these missiles were intercepted.
9 missiles were launched at the Mezzeh Military Airport. Five of them were intercepted.
16 missiles were launched at the Homs Military Airport. 13 of them were intercepted.
30 missiles were launched at targets in the areas of Barzah and Jaramani. Seven missiles were launched.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the facilities in the areas of Barzah and Jaramani were partly destroyed. The military added that these facilities had been for a long time abandoned and had not been invovled in the production of chemical weapons in contrary to the claims of the US-led coalition.

If this is true then the Strike was just a face saving political move by the West to keep up their facade of geopolitical supremacy.

Russia needs to really start pushing more AD systems to Syria ASAP and possibly increase transfer of military equipment.

Idk about the sale of S-400 to Iran, we will have to wait on that.

1) The missile strike was an total failure
2) Russia now considering providing Syria with S-300 and Iran with S-400!

It was a propaganda win though. Trump looks "tough" and UK and France retain some of their relevancy.

The regime forces and their aliens are continuing the state of alertness in their controlled areas in the Syrian territory, in anticipation for retargeting them by the Trio Coalition “the USA, Britain and France”, which targeted during this dawn, Saturday the 14th of April 2018, the scientific research centers in Jamraya north of Damascus, and Barzeh in the north-west of the capital Damascus, arsenals of the 4th Division and the Republic Guards in the area of Al-Mazza Military Airbase, the arsenals of Al-Kiswah area in the southern countryside of the capital, and the scientific research center in the outskirts of Homs city, where the missiles fired on the latter position, fell away from the target, also violent explosions heard in the Eastern Qalamoun, while no missiles fell on Al-Dumayr and Al-Naseriyah Military Airbases.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights managed to monitored interception by the regime forces to tens of missiles which targeted their positions and military bases in the Syrian territory, where several intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory, that the number missiles that were downed, exceeded 65 missiles, of the total number of missiles fired by the Trio Coalition, while the air and rocket strikes, caused great material damage, while no information about casualties was reported yet.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 11th of April 2018, that the regime forces’ controlled areas are witnessing ongoing alertness, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights obtained information from several reliable sources which confirmed to the SOHR that the regime forces are continuing their state of alertness, and they evacuated all of the main airports and military bases in their controlled areas in the Syrian territory, on renewed orders by the command of the regime forces, and the evacuation and alertness which included all military bases and positions of the regime forces, and which was coincided with the threats of the USA to carry out violent strikes targeting positions of the regime forces inside the Syrian territory, where accompanied by movements and alertness by the regime’s allies of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in anticipation for strikes that may target their positions, by the United States, Britain and France, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on Tuesday the 10th of April 2018, that it monitored alertness since the midnight of Monday – Tuesday, and it will continue for 72 hours, as a part of the preparations of the regime forces in anticipation for possible strikes expected to be carried out by the United States, Britain and France, against the regime forces on the Syrian territory, on orders from the command of the regime via telegrams, to carry out a full and immediate alertness lasts for 72 hours, within all the military bases and airports in the capital Damascus and the provinces of Rif Dimashq, Al-Suwaidaa, Homs, Tartus, Latakia, Deir Ezzor, where these orders issued by the regime forces, were coincided with instructions obtained by their allies of non-Syrian nationalities, to alert in anticipation for the same strikes, which the Trio Coalition intends to carry out inside the Syrian territory, where the positions of the regime’s allies witnessed establishment of fortifications and preparations for the safeguarding of these strikes, which is expected to be carried out at any time, in the wake of threats by the Trio Coalition, which threatened to carry out strikes against the Syrian regime, as a part of the international action after the massacre of Douma in the Eastern Ghouta, which left hundreds of casualties and wounded.

B.s who stopped China, S.Korea, Japan, Even India from becoming a economical powehoupow??

Again if Japan can prosper after fighting a war U.S there is nothing stopping us. Heck even India, China S.Korea.. who stopped them? Rest are just lame excuses..

China had Soviet backing and attacking a country with 1.2 billions people is just nightmare ... The west saw India as counter weight to China ... S.Korea and Japan are shield of USA in front of China and they embraced westernized life style ( our at least doesn't have any ideological issue with it ... )

LOL millions wasted. Nothing will be achieved with missile strikes.
probably , they will wait till SAA start its operation and then attack them when they are not prepared .... if you run in front of wolfs , they will see you as easy pray ....

"People Are Dancing In The Streets": Syria, Russia, Iran Shrug Off Trump's Airstrikes

upload_2018-4-14_9-3-30.png

meanwhile, in the capital Damascus, there was defiance and relief as residents jolted awake by explosions at around 4 a.m. realized the strikes would be limited. Syrian state television broadcast scenes of citizens taking to the streets to celebrate and demonstrate their support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, waving Syrian, Russian and Iranian flags. As WaPo Beirut bureau chief Liz Sly wrote:

Damascus is shrugging off the US strikes, which turned out to be more limited than feared. People are dancing in the streets, waving Assad’s portrait & saying Trump has failed.

BEIRUT — Syria, Russia and Iran shrugged off strikes on Saturday by the United States and its allies against three Syrian chemical weapons facilities, which drew angry condemnations but no indication that there would be a wider escalation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the U.S.-led strikes against Syrian chemical weapons facilities as an “act of aggression,” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatalloh Ali Khamenei tweeted that the attack represented “a war crime,” and the Syrian Foreign Ministry described it as “barbarous aggression.”

But the pre-dawn volleys of cruise missiles launched by the United States, Britain and France were limited to three sites linked to Syria’s chemical weapons program and triggered no retaliation. Russia said they did little damage and that most of the cruise missiles targeting Syrian sites had been intercepted by Syrian air defenses, including all of those that were bound for the site from which last week’s alleged chemical attack originated.

World leaders sought to tamp down any tensions associated with the strike.

The S-400 isn’t a hamburger that Russia can pull out of its pocket and quickly give to Iran or Syria.

Turkey ordered the S-400 and see how long it is waiting to receive them.

Iran is not getting S-400 neither is Syria.

.
One question is how the Russians could state as first ones that the number of cruise missiles was 103.
We are talking about stealthy terrain masking CM's coming from different attack vectors. Remaining undetected is the key for a successful strike.
The story doesn't add up, those 3 targets could be destroyed by a dozen CM's, 100 is a 10 time redundancy that cant be explained.

Here some ways how Russians could have got that number:

-Leak of information from coalition side

-Syrian HUMINT counted each missile at each location during the night, or counted the bangs. All accounts were gathered and that number was gathered.

-The Syrian and Russian ground based radar network is so dense and perfect that they tracked all those 103 CMs, despite terrain and LOS issues.

-Russian ships were close enough to the launching American ones as well as aircrafts (B-1 package excluded).

-A A-50 AEW or two were airborne and was able to overcome LOS effects (due to the vast distances of strike packages) and successfully track the Tomahawks, LO US CMs and LO Euro CMs

-Russian Container OTH radar detected all CMs while searching the vast space involved. Iranian Keyhan OTHR could have supported by reducing the scan volume load via covering the eastern front (B-1 package)

One of those methods or a combination of them could explain it.
The earlier than US release of this key information could hint to a quite clear IADS picture of the attack. The 10 time redundancy of missiles shot hints to successful interceptions.
The HUMINT counting bangs theory sounds good but the number would have a higher error tolerance because of secondary explosions involved and the fact that those jet powered CMs don't have well visible light at their nozzles. Counting the jet engine sounds, using IR/TI sights, counting the bangs of such a timed simultaneous saturation attack, as well as excluding secondaries sounds to prone to errors to me to come up with 103.

What does it matter, Syria got hit unjustly yet again. And all we get is lip service from the Russians-Syrians and Iranians.

I wish we Americans could take back control of our foreign policy but that is clearly completely out of our hands in every way.

.....What a shameful display by the "West". No data, no evidence, just movies and some air strikes...

Ok lets look at the possible good that can come out of this entire 2 weeks that has recently transpired. I think we can safely say that the Russians have no more reservations on whether or not the "West" wants to be their friends. So this is good for weapons transfer of jets and other weapons to Iran (possibly another order of S-300/S-400's etc, etc) and better AD systems to the Syrians. This will help further cement the strategic relationship that has grown between Iran-Russia-Syria into one that can be a military heavy-weight of sorts if its cultivated properly.

Iran should increase weapons transfer and base fortifications in Syria on the double just to make the Israelis know that Iran isn't going anywhere at all. The Syrians will have no doubt learned from this recent strike thus bettering their forces for more Israeli/West air strikes. Russians will continue sending shipments of weapons to Syria etc, etc...

As for Hezbollah, Iran's already steadfast commitment should be tripled or doubled or increased to make sure Hezbollah has enough kinetic weaponry to decimate Israeli military and civilian infrastructure incase they wanna start something.

Other than that, it's gonna be a tough bullet to swallow. Iran did say they will retaliate against Israel, maybe Russia will compensate Iran on Israel's behalf, idk. At this point Iran needs a stronger AD and Air force ASAP.

Keep good thoughts, the end of the war is somewhat insight.
