That is a different topic. This topic is about marines urinating on corpses. Yes the marines might have fought hard and have almost kicked the bucket to get that far but this is a dishonorable action on their part.

There might have been times in the past and who knows even revolutionary war times or civil war times when this has happened and got away with it. Why would you do this in front of a camera? This does nothing to demoralize your enemy. This will fuel your enemy with hatred. This is just gives a feeling of satisfaction to the marines but does nothing.

Look at the case of US marine Danny Chung, serving in Afghanistan, committed suicide after being bullied and tortured and abused by his white peers in the unit.

Everyday in the local papers there is a new update about how badly he was treated. Called names like chink eyes, gook and dragon lady. Then the exercises they made him do, while kicking and punching him, poor kid committed suicide.

Eight soldiers are on trial and last I read it turns out some ranking officers were aware of the cruel treatment of Danny. This is one of their own, supposedly, same uniform, but unfortunately not the same race. And this is how he was treated, you think anybody else, including Pakistani soldiers, are gonna be spared?

Look, I'm not saying all US soldiers are like that, US military courts will definitely bring the culprits to justice. But it can't be denied that racism is still a huge problem in the US. That's what gets people to commit such horrible and abusive acts against another human being.

These days there is a new racism related story circulating in the US media. Apparently, in a middle school, kids were given math homework which had some interesting questions regarding the slavery of blacks. I.e. if a slave received two beatings a day, how many beatings would he have received in one week?

Is this what the kids are being taught in the white majority states? Then, its no wonder theyd grow up to torture and abuse their fellow minority race Americans, piss on the dead bodies of enemy combatants, bomb their allies, and treat prisoners (abu ghraib) with savagery.

This is a red-herring argument and diversion from the thread topic but since you asked for honesty I'll respond anyway.

At the most basic level, the video exhibits a bad behavior. A few human beings pissing on some dead human beings. Shocking? very. Does it translates into all human beings exhibiting such bad behavior? Its safe to say no. That includes all subgroups. Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Jews and the entire US military except these few Marines. All armed forces around the world do good, be it Indian or Pakistani or American so I don't discount your contribution. As for your idea of holding Iranian sailors hostage, to begin with its against international law and more importantly it would be a PR nightmare as one associates such behavior with rouge states. However unfortunate, Iran is within its legal authority to convict someone on its soil.

Now whats odd is that you are perfectly capable of differentiating between US military norms and the bad behavior of these marines, yet you don't apply the same argument with Muslims and Talibans. You can do better.
