U.S. is using electronic warfare to attack in waves

. .
It can be done, but it requires a lot of specialized know-how and equipment, and even then, for carefully defined situations to be effective.

But still its just electronics and thus doable for Pakistan given some money right ?

Not just money, also trained manpower using highly specialized equipment and software. The money is the easy part!

.
still its just electronics and electronics are a joke compared to some other military stuff like engines right ?

Damned I'm getting old...I had thought the growlers were still based on the A-6 frame.

"Just" electronics? :)

How would you respond if I asked you that since Pakistan makes the Suzuki Mehran, it can also make the Bugatti Veyron, since they are both "just" cars?

:D

Ya but i mean to say that electronics don't require as much money, infrastructure, skilled manpower as most of the other things in military hardware.

and on top of that almost everything is dual use so if we have a problem making something we can always buy it.

So given the will it would be doable within our budget and infrastructure right ?

because the way things are moving future wars will be overwhelmingly dependent on electronics.

Yes.

Pakistan has a lot of talent, and a great ability to make the most of whatever resources are available. What you are suggesting is entirely possible, but it must be prioritized relative to other demands placed on those resources, and national policy decisions.

ya,it such a shame that we as a nation are completely devoid of research in any field of life not just military stuff.except for the nuke which was ALAS a one of a kind effort.

here we have the shining example of Israel they started with reverse engineering then moved on to electronics and now they almost make everything.

Man our country has a lot to learn from Israel. Especially how to survive in a hostile environment.

"The frontline weapon for this electronic war is a new airborne jamming system currently in development. The Next Generation Jammer should allow the Navy to blind the enemy’s radars, disrupt its communications and slip malicious code into computer networks."

Rofl, i wonder what sort of networks they can slip that code into, sounds like Sci Fi stuff but then what was fiction 10 years ago is reality now.

Air war 2020

Target aquired ..fox 3 ....sorry i cant do that Dave.

Electronic warfare is taking on a whole new deminsion compared to even just 10 years ago. recently an F-35 took on 2 F-22's at range and rendered their radars useless. He who has the best electronic warfare ability in future dogfights will rule the skies. After all what good is your Chinese PL-12D if it can't lock onto anything. or for that matter if the J-20 has it's radar fried.

Why bring in the Chinese example unless you're flamebaiting?
