wrong. most military men are just decent and intelligent as others. however, regardless the good intention of regular soldiers, one thing to remember is that military is just a gun. someone else pulls the trigger. the ill feeling towards foreign troops is not towards the regular soldiers. it is towards the one who may pull the trigger.

yeah, what NK is doing is just getting into a vicious circle. they should soften the tension with the south to make south korean feel the need to ask US withdraw.

I was just explaining the behavior and demand of NK. Of course I will say NK's opinions. Why would I say SK's opinion when I talk about NK. In the end, it is the US opinion that matters the most. Think about it. When US withdrew troops from Taiwan, did it give a rat's a$$ about Taiwanese opinion?

South Korea would need to agree first and foremost, it would not be a unilateral deal between the US and NK, that's what I meant by including South Korea.

Given NK has invaded SK unprovoked before, I don't think they'd trust them enough to agree.

Moving troops and supplies is not instantaneous as well. Both Leaving and coming back would take time, time North Korea could exploit.

Frankly at this point our trust in NK is 0. Every time they have come for peace talks and nuclear talks, they have reneged.

Removing troops from the DMZ does not mean removing troops from the country btw, so when I say mutual drawdowns on the DMZ, US troops would still be around.

Unless NK can make the SK government demand US withdrawal, the US is going to stay. We certainly aren't going to do it unilaterally on a deal with North Korea of all countries.

North Korea's nuke is made for US troops in South Korea. It is not made for South Korean. It chooses nuke because it has nothing else to deter US troops. US should withdraw from South Korea as the latter is well capable of defending itself from North Korea.

But their is a problem, south itself is asking the US to do what is the US is doing. It is inviting the US to show off it's military muscle in the Korean peninsula. It cannot be that a N bomb meant for US troops will not harm the Korean civies.
N Korean dictatorship is brutal and over the board... peace.
