I happened to see live raw videos of rampaging mobs from Bangladesh and feel sorry for such a state of affairs. One cannot wrong a secularist when he's against a fanatic - no matter what and no matter what logic it caters to - the secularist is always right and the fundamentalist is always wrong and that is the most basic rule. Rule of law and fanaticism do not go hand in hand.

War crimes have been committed and it's criminal to not bring the culprits to justice - I think BD Govt took too long for the process to take place.

I am fine with religious parties and also fine with some of them hating anything Un Islamic, hate begets hate and I don't love someone who hates us. There is a clear pattern to intolerance and in the case of Muslims leading to suicide bombings and terrorist attacks - the BD bank manager's son who was caught by the FBI is a live example and as for me engaging with Bangladeshi's - I must confess that I rarely do that because I find them funny.

It is also SHW who conspired with the Jam*at in 2005 and they jointly demanded a Caretaker Government. I possess a photograph of SHW with another accused Nizami and three others.

So, SHW is not against the war criminals. She is against whoever is against her party. There are many a war criminals in her own party. This nasty AL should be broken for ever because SHW is a mad woman because almost all her near relatives were killed. He should very kindly be given a comfortable shelter in Ranchi mental hospital by the benevolent GoI.

@eastwatch, what I saw in the Shahbag protests is that the middle class youth going after the culprits - the politicians are bound to use the mileage, the atrocities have happened and by due process BDians have identified the culprits - to be honest I am not much aware of BD's internal politics but was mightily impressed with the progressive population of BD who demanded extreme punishment to the one's who helped in unleashing the torture and saw a new dawn in BD - but then it got somewhat sidelined with petty politics and the Islamic parties jumping in and the unnecessary violence. I hope the millions who suffered in the 1971 pogrom get justice in the end and BD evolves to be a moderate state where Islamo fascists do not have a place.

Wrong, the youths wanted the hanging of a few leaders of party. They were never proved in trial to be guilty, rather proved innocent by many freedom fighters. Which in turn makes the Shahbag youths, stupid and ignorant.
