U.S failing infrastructure

.
exactly....let the people design, build and run the country as they please. Do you know anything about economics ?

United should private armed forces and let the private sector run them because government run services are socialism. The minimum wage is low in USA while the salaries and bonuses of top 1% has skyrocketed. The states and municipalities are cutting services while rich are moving to gated communities.

Bro, why the roads are so bad in the US srsly? If the government doesnt have money, shouldnt there be more private roads?

You're preaching to the choir my friend. Road infrastructure definitely needs to be improved. Although to be fair, there are many areas that are much better then others. it's not all bad by any stretch.

That's not true. Hospitals are required to treat people. Who pays is a totally different matter.
I have experinced this firsthand when I came to this country and you tell me its not true? Lol.

I would be getting my insurance in 15 days after the date I visited the clinic and they refused to allow me to see a doctor, that is after I had to fill out bunch of crap that wasted an hour of my time.

I had also informed them beforehand that I would be paying myself.

I know somebody who flew over from China with their son and had a kidney operation...and it cost them nothing.

U.S. infrastructure lagging far behind Europe | Homeland Security News Wire

America’s transportation infrastructure is quickly falling behind the rest of the world as roads continue to fall into disrepair, railroad lines age, and airports become more congested resulting in longer commute times, more delays, and increasing transportation-related fatalities; the United States now ranks twenty-third overall for infrastructure quality between Spain and Chile; government expenditures on infrastructure have fallen to just 2.4 percent of GDP; in contrast Europe invests 5 percent of its GDP on infrastructure and China 9 percent; U.S. infrastructure investment has fallen behind largely as a result of the highway trust fund’s declining revenues, which are generated from gas and vehicle taxes

yikes. how do we fix this??? maybe time to stop throwing money at the military industrial complex and put some people to work to fix our infrastructure.

we need a FDR kinda leader to get the ball rolling.
Cant believe i have watched that whole thing, but one thing i learned is Sausage Sandwiches can save lives. :enjoy:

Emergency rooms have to treat people, but then those people (many more times then not) are hit with the mother of all bills.

remove minimum wage, unemployment solved to a large part...

now people argue that corporations will be taking advantage of workers...let me guess, that's because there isn't enough competition amongst corporations to get the workers (corporations outbidding each other to get the workers) ? Well, that's because there's barriers to entry in the market. There's regulations restricting competition. Remove those regulations on both sides, the regulations protecting the producers and the consumers. Now you have a free market. Sit back and relax and watch the thing go...

that's the effect of regulations, not the free market...A whole bunch of complex regulations put by the government to force everyone into getting insurance. Same thing in the motor industry, infact everywhere. That's a controlled socialistic model, not a free market.

Really ! When there was no minimum wage or max working hours a week the workers revolted and caused socialist and communist revolutions. Nobody gives higher salary and benefits unless they are mandated by the government. You have to keep social peace by giving living wage to workers. The CEOs of America's 500 biggest companies got a collective pay raise of 16% last year earning total compensation of $5.2 billion. That's an average $10.5 million apiece. Exercised stock options and vested stock awards account for 60% of total pay for this group of 500 firms. How much did the minimum rise from last year ? 0% ! While the inflation and higher prices eroded the buying power of the people in USA.

They revolted against a monarchy, not against a free market...It was a badly run monarchy that was resulting in food shortages. People turned to socialism...and that spread. Yet it solved nothing. 5 decades later, they adopt a free-er market and look how much better they're already doing compared to socialism.

I'm not talking about higher salaries. I'm talking about full employment.

When higher salaries are mandated by the government, guess what companies do? Fire them and replace them with workers over seas or with robots or make them work harder. That causes job loss.

You are a classic victim of class-warfare propaganda.

Also, do take a thorough look at inflation data and study the cause of inflation. You will realize it's government intervention, rules and regulations that cause inflation and unemployment in the first place.

That doesn't make sense man. Healthcare companies are raping people's wallet.
There was little to no regulations before ObamaCare, US healthcare sucked then and it sucks now. Insurance companies shouldn't be allowed to do whatever they want.
