U.S. Chargé d’affaires to Pakistan , summoned to the Foreign Office - March 2022

. . .
Next time don't get caught with your pants down. When the foreign diplomats are running around scheming against the host nation, and blatantly meddling in the internal affairs of a nation. Take immediate action and throw them out after showing them the proof. However, most importantly, expose the local traitors, and make an example out of them.

Looks like they were scoping out replacements for IK. Trying to remove a democratically elected PM with a track record of making cancer hospitals and planting trees. I don't know how some people can go to sleep at night.

“I also don’t find it convincing that a message received on 7th March was responded to on 27th March and that too in a public meeting arranged to counter no-confidence motion,” Mehboob said.

Agreed, kinda useless now, should have responded to it earlier and put the whole opposition on a defensive...

PM Khan wanted to but he was asked to hold on at least until the OIC conference and March 23rd parade. After that PM felt that it was deliberately been linger on. Hence he then showed it to the public in his jalsa. It was not PM's fault as he wanted to respond there and then but unfortunately there are too many vested interests that forbids Pakistanis to do the right thing including the establishment.

I have several thoughts on this whole foreign intervention.
1) Where is ISI and our bureaucracy? Isnt it their literal job to safeguard Pakistan against foreign elements? Well by looking at things it seems this time it was Pak establishment vs international establishment and Pak establishment lost.
2) Well i do agree that what USA did is wrong but this is our own mistake in the making. We as a nation want easy money well their is no such thing. We have not focused on our exports and now we are facing this blackmail. USA and west has leverage on us. Most of our exports are to USA and west, most of our people study and live in USA and west. And i know this is what many of us dont want to believe rn but education, military strategy, technology of west is far better than that of china or russia.
3) Now what can we do? This is eye opener for us as a nation. Are we willing to live like this forever like a slave. People of rural areas of punjab, sindh, kpk balochistan now need to focus on national integrity. We now need to have a technological base and must diversify our exports. Our exports need to be technological base and no only agricultural. Just look at japan does it have natural resources? NO! Its a tiny tiny country yet their exports are 28 times of Pakistan.
4) Pakistan need to have a strict non bloc policy. We must have a policy in which we eant economical relations with RUSSIA, CHINA and west. We must buy military hardware without any foriegn subsidy so we cannot be blackmailed in that regard.
IK was doing the right thing in foreign policy but his strategy is all wrong. You cannot shift foreign policy abruptly. RN our import from china count for 1/4th of total imports and yet our exports to china are less than 8% of our total exports!
I think the above mentioned type of blunders has forced our establishment hand to give up and left our civil govt open to foreign intervention.
