Nothing more then a cat fight, afghan government knows it time is up, they are using such incidents to drum up support of their people to make them look good.

Reality is no need for the army we can take care of then ourselves, why knows we might even go know the offensive yourself and will see how ling they last.

I don't understand what are they cheering about ?

As per every International newspaper or website that I could find they injured two of our boys whilst loosing one of their own without the helicopters being downed, the tanks being destroyed & the posts being captured & razed as was being claimed initially by our esteemed Afghan colleague !

These Idiots are beyond me , They cut the hand that feeds them but as soon as **** hits the fan they will be running towards pakistan for protection.

afghan troops dressed in camo sporting some fancy gear is the red herring that the americans are offering when it comes to readiness of the ANA.

fact of the matter is that the military of any country in order to be effective has to evolve as an institutation , this evolution includes development of traning institutes , development of infintary, armour , aviation , intelligence and other supporting arms and above all combat experience.

Atleast Pashtuns in ANA or FC had ghairat to kill American soldiers. We had an incident where American Major came in to high ranking border meeting and a Pakistani Pashtun belonging to FC shot that american because that person had lost a relative in drone strike and that pashtun was killed and this has happened in 2006/2007. Same thing occurs in ANA where pashtuns killing american soldiers. Yet other begherats will only blame Pakistan.

If you ask me when i visit village, i carry dwa-naleej (double barrel gun) at night when i go outside, just for show that i have gun..it give you sense of security...also i am mostly alone at house so i keep gun at my bedside.....

There were high cases of desertions from FC, they refuse to fight their own pashtuns in FATA...
