Ok, but other than US, no country has the national power of China, so its not the same situation, but i get what you mean. Disciplined and virtuous Leadership is important.

Iran should have escorted the tanker with one of their mowj ships.

But of course mowj ships apparently are only for traveling to 3rd world countries and docking at their ports. God forbid Iran actually use them to protect their national interest.

That would be an overkill and unnecessary. Why does Iran need to use a warship to control/direct oil tankers/non military vessels? that could prompt the host country to send more warships there, unnecessarily escalating the situation and even offering disadvantages to Iran cuz Iran could have maintained control and surprise by not using the warship for a non serious military situation.
