Sir people who are staunch opponents of Islam and Muslim .... hold greater knowledge about Islam compared to an ordinary Muslim.

That brings to my mind a very dear cyber friend of mine. He is of Pakistani Muslim origin, but regret to say an unrepentant apostate, and a blasphemer to boot. But he was extremely knowledgeable about Islam. It struck me as odd that a person who had rejected Islam should be as knowledgeable about it. I mean my opinion about Hindooism isnt much better but I am not as knowledgeable about it.

His explanation was actually quite illuminating. He said that if he had to reject Islam he needed to know what he was rejecting in the first place.

I think, these timing schedules are man made for the there convenience, there is no harm to change timings for communal harmony on special occasions.

If they can change namaz time for holi, hindus can change aarti time on the muharram / tazia day...
In a composite society every one will have to adjust so for harmony of all...

Why to make unwanted fuss out of it....

I think it is useless and a bit stupid to ask hindus to stop music and holi for azan. It is their country and they are allowed to do whatever they want to in celebrating their rituals.

However it is stupid to except that riots would not happen just because timings of namaz are changed.

That's cute considering that non muslim can't even eat in open for a month when muslims observes fast . But all hell breaks lose if nawaz timing are changed by 1/2 hr.

For 2 mins why you can't stop Music, alcohol, dancing with wet women? Praying on certain time is the order from Allah SWT, can't be changed.

You gave me one example from vedas that you people allowed to drink, dance with wet women on Holi.

In a shocking incident, a student of All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna was found roaming in semi-naked condition in the girls hostel allegedly after consuming bhang in a Holi party. The student, who hailed from Kerala, was rusticated after the incident came to light.

The student was under the influence of bhang, and not alcohol, clarified the college administration in view of Bihar being a dry state when consumption of alcohol invites penal action.

Issue is not about music.
Issue is colors, people playing colors might spray colors on those going for namaz unknowingly. Which could lead to unwanted communal clashes.

Other than this it only takes one mischief or drunkard or over excited person to make mess, so why would any govt take chance. Find a way that reduces chances of issues...
