TEHRAN: A suicide bomber blew himself up at the Tehran mausoleum of Iranian revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini on Saturday, killing himself and wounding two pilgrims, the ISNA news agency reported.

Earlier the Mehr news agency said the attack took place at the entrance to the shrine where devotees keep their footwear before entering the main mausoleum.

‘Minutes ago, a terrorist detonated his explosive vest in the Imam Khomeini shrine. The blast caused damage in one section of the shrine,’ Iran's deputy police chief for operations, Hossein Sajedinia, was quoted as saying by Mehr.

He said the bomber was killed and one pilgrim wounded.

There you go the pipeine deal.
Thanks to the devine hand.
All regional countries should immediately ask foreign armies to vacate Afghanistan.
Iran does not have people who can study and analys startegy. Both parties are victim of BBC propaganda.

Hmm how does that link to the suicide bombing and the unrest in Iran...? :what:

.
Is this the first suicide bombing in Iran? I think it is...

Who would perpetrate it? And now?

How can we be sure it was a suicide attack?

Sounds fishy.

Iran is being engaged seriously in his internal unrest, so all the development and investment will halt at least for while.
During last govt., Pakistan and india were openly asked by uncle sam to not make any agreements with iran.
At some point in this unrest, US will slam sanctions on iran. which means no trade with Iran incl. gas.

May be not, I suppose we all know the last sucide attack in Zahedan Mosque over which Pakistan ambassodor was summoned and demonstrations were held by Zahedan populace against Pakistan.
In follow up some (sponsored) activists did the same and openly staged rallies for free Balauchistan incl Iranian part.

Who would perpetrate it? And now?
Dvine hand. ;)

I think we normally believe the news. Do you need any witness from Tehran?

Sounds fishy.
It is not good at all for the region and I can say this with utmost certainity.
Pakistan army is busy fighting in SAWAT, where as Baluchistan is cooking, quietly.

I keep seeing the election problems in florida being brought. What happened in Florida was wrong. I fail to see how pointing out an injustice in Florida makes what is happening in Iran acceptable?

In the 2000 election the Florida ballots were counted again and again. We have laws in place for a candidate to ask for a recount if there seems to be a problem with the vote.

In Iran voting is done on paper ballots. There were more than 39 million people voting. How do you count 40 million paper ballots in just under 2 hours after the election? It is quite impossible. This whole election was a sham, and the Iranian people know it....

Don't compare the 2000 US election to the Iranian election. It's like comparing apples to oranges.

Oh, our media Fox, MSNBC, CNN covered both 2000 & 2004 elections. There is no outside media coverage in Iran. All outside media is forbidden to report on the demonstrations.

/QUOTE]

The 2000 election in Florida was a flawed election. Was it flawed to the point that Bush would have lost? Probably not. The Supreme court issued a flawed decision that essentially determined who won when what they should have done was issue an order to Florida to uniformly enforce Florida election laws.

The problems with the Iranian election do not even remotely compare to what happened in Florida. There wasn't even a pretense of fair elections in Iran this time. Election monitors from the opposition were not allowed in the polling places. 1/3 of ballot boxes were mobile ballot boxes with no supervision whatsoever. Some provinces had greater than 100% turnout. Election results were announced before even 1/3 of the votes had been counted. The list goes on and on. It was a selection, not an election.
