But the Chinese side claims that it made the Indians withdraw. It's very difficult for us to tell who's telling the truth. Definitely uncle sam knows who's lying but so far we haven't heard anything from them, perhaps @gambit can shed light on what actually happened.

So american pilots saw how epic and crazy the Chinese constructions and realized that their dream of stopping further Chinese constructions in the area will remain a dream so they have no choice but to retreat and go back to their bases emptyhanded.
