"The sun and moon (are subjected) to calculations"

"(God) appointed the night for rest and the sun and the moon for reckoning."

--sura 14, verse 33:
"For you (God) subjected the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses. And for you He subjected the night and the day."

-sura 36, verse 39: God is speaking:
"And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she returns like an old shriveled palm branch."

--sura 16, verse 12:
"For you (God) subjected the night and the day, the sun and the moon; the stars are in subjection to His Command. Verily in this are signs for people who are wise."

"(God) is the One Who has set out for you the stars, that you may guide yourselves by them through the darkness of the land and of the sea. We have detailed the signs for people who know."

--sura 16, verse 16:
"(God sets on the earth) landmarks and by the stars (men) guide themselves."

-sura 10, verse 5:
"God is the One Who made the sun a shining glory and the moon a light and for her ordained mansions, so that you might know the number of years and the reckoning (of the time). God created this in truth. He explains the signs in detail for people who know."

--sura 25, verse 61:
"Blessed is the One Who placed the constellations in heaven and placed therein a lamp and a moon giving light."

-sura 71, 15-16:
"Did you see how God created seven heavens one above an other and made the moon a light therein and made the sun a lamp?"

-sura 78, verses 12-13:
"We have built above you seven strong (heavens) and placed a blazing lamp."

sura 86, verses 1-3:
"By the sky and the Night-Visitor, who will tell thee what the Night-Visitor is, the Star of piercing brightness." [ Here, the sky and a star are used to bear witness to the importance of what is to come in the text.]

--sura 21, verse 33:
"(God is) the One Who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own motion."

--sura 36, verse 40:
"The sun must not catch up the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own motion."

"Hast thou not seen how God merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night."

Does Darwinisn fascinates you?

You got it wrong. They do not feel insecure, rather fascinated.

Scientific research is not about proving existence of God or an entity. It is about understanding the external environment. However, some people are curious and look for signs.

Big Bang Theory tells us that it all started from a point in time. The raw energy began to take shape and gave birth to new entities such as stars and planets. And all of that eventually led to conditions suitable for life in some planets. Big Bang process is continous.

Big Bang also fueled the debate about Random Design versus Intelligent Design. Some people find the philiosophy of Intelligent Design more credible.

Another topic of interest is Dark Energy. Scientists used to think that gravitational forces were responsible for putting everything in order in the Universe. That notion flopped when they observed that the Universe is actually expanding. Something is responsible for this expansion. Some perceive Dark Energy as a sign.

In the nutshell, this topic fascinates both the believers and athiests.

We are only intelligent life form in documented universe which I am afraid extends till our solar system. People speculate that's true. That is the reason we are not living in caves and dying of dysentry in the caves' shadows rather stepping on the moon and planning for Mars.

You think reading "a book" or "a bunch of books" only could have got us there ? No. What it needed was curiosity and exploring the unknown by keeping an open mind rather than a closed mind.

You can never learn something if you already pretend to know it.

I agree, religion should not play role in educational, social or political system. It plays role in addressing purpose of life, which is a curiosity of everyone, and can't really be addressed with scientific knowledge. That doesn't rule out existence of a God.

What @Malik Usman is saying is 100% true.However, what @pakistanipower is saying am not aware of it.He needs to give reference of the verse or hadith or needs to become QUIET!
I can understand that how would I feel if I post some discovery and someone from Hinduism or bible will try to prove it.
The problem is that to be very honest, human minds and knowledge is not strong enough to decipher correctly what Bible, Quran or Pentateuch says.We do injustice by making our own interpretation. A/C to hadith one must not makes his own interpretation and only say:"Allah has best knowledge" if is not fully aware of the matter.
However, all humans are told to look for signs on earth.
Remember,that any holy book consists of three parts:

1)Creation of the universe.
2)Creation of species, food, trees ,heavens and earth.
3)Discussion of unseen living beings such as Satan, angles etc that cannot be detected via scientific work.

I read Quran with translation every day.I am still a student and learning and reading verses.Also, in Bible , Genesis was the part where all creation of universe was mentioned.
Now in Quran three events were mentioned in different surahs.These are as follows:
1)Creation of heavens and earth.
2)Destruction of everything on earth, in one of the verse even it was mentioned that God will change skies with other skies! and now we are well aware of changes in atmosphere such as H or He was replaced by ozone stuff when our baby earth was growing up!
3)Resurrection of the people, their bodies will be recreated and they will be placed in hell or heaven forever.Now mutiverse theory or parallel universe theory is being talked about!
(Who knows that heaven is actually found in other universe and so hell? Might be when a person dies , he becomes free of time and space and moves freely?)

Also, consider following:

1)The Doom's day will be as long as 50,000 days or years(mentioned in hadith) and it is the last day of earth.

2)On the Doom's day (A/C) to hadith the sun will come too close to earth(now we know that sun will become a red giant and gas will expand when it becomes heated.The sun will become exhausted as all H will be consumed)

3)The sun will rise from west one day.The night will be very long before the sun rises from west.The people will sleep, pray and eat and eventually fall asleep again till they become tired and call out each other asking about the reason of long night till they saw sun rising from WEST. ( Hadith)
Now scientist have discovered a planet called Niku which rotates in other direction. Scientist are shocked that how it possible and from where it has come from?

4)All three religion tell us that Adam was sent from heaven to earth.Now science says that 95% of our DNA is alien.

When prophets used to preach the message of God about creation of heavens and earth and predicts the death and destruction of earth several hundred years ago, illiterate people used to laugh and throw stones at them.For them, it was the most craziest thing ever that earth will actually die.
Now in 2016, people are discussing 10 most possible ways to destroy earth.

To my Pakistani friends I want to say, that God has to address people of different eras.That is why discussion about universe in detail is less focused & instructions are emphasized more or else imagine that how people of 2000bc were able to understand that how sun works? That it has H,He,Carbon etc and it also dies!?. They just saw big shiny object & start worshiping it.Do you expect god to explain in detail about THE SCIENCE OF STARS? people were not smart or advanced enough and god has to take care of them too.That is why he emphasized upon instruction to worship him.Despite of all signs and clear verses, the Abrahamic religion become divided and sub divided.Why? B/c everyone tried to make their own interpretation. So, discuss less and follow the instruction more.Also, investigate that interpretation or translation is made correct or not.

Nope, all these were discovered long before 1500 years, modern science is trying to measure the vastness more accurately. And being educated, you should know that...

You understand it completely wrong....................What Basic Knowledge Quran gave 1500 years ago that today's science is doing after so much research, that time it was not possible by any human........You need to do research and for research don't listen to anybody just read the Quran by yourself translated into your country language........

Quran is not a book of science it is the book of Sign which God mentioned about the Universe......and those are basis of Science on which all science theories are live.............For example 1500 Years ago Quran mentioned the process of a baby when it born in mother's belly, the complete process, how a drop become blood and then become flesh and then become meat and bones and how life came into existence....who can tell that 1500 years ago ???

All gods are some super life forms descended to our planet to start their own kingdoms( we call it religion). They end up having followers who follow the teaching or behaviour of these super life forms. Wait for some other super-life form from another planet arrives again and starts something new.
