Two Saudi pilots killed in helicopter crash (Yemen)

The war won't be over for hundreds of years. The sad thing is a lot more people will die, and not only pilots.

In a way yes. But when we speak about poverty as a whole we need to remember that there are varying degrees of poverty depending on which country we are talking about. As I wrote, a "poor/not well to do" person or family in KSA (once again KSA is a welfare states and the state is ALWAYS helping such families economically if needed if they apply for help = KSA = welfare state) would be considered as middle income in the vast majority of European countries let alone countries of the world.

Most of those beggars etc. that you see in KSA are illegal migrants. Mostly Africans. 1000's upon 1000's of people during Hajj and Umrah from all corners of the world end up staying in KSA illegal in search for a better life. Some have lived like this since KSA emerged without registering themselves.

The "Turk" (Anatolian) that you are discussing with is butthurt due to some factual posts that I wrote about his entity and people (historical facts and scientific one (DNA) so that is the only reason that he created this thread and pretends to care for Yemenis, lol.

Writing nonsense while his country has been heavily involved in Syria for 7 + years and also in Iraq. Just a joke. No offense.

This is why i stay away from middle east section.

Well, Arabs are used to war (experts in it historically speaking) and not afraid of death by large. It's a cliche for many people when they talk about it but for better and worse (mostly worse in the recent era) Arabs can safely say this.

. .
It doesn't matter how you look at it. Death is death. Death is not life.

Soldiers are trained not to take this into consideration on a battlefield most of the time.

Dying on a battlefield against enemies while fighting for your country, people and religion is a great honor as well in Arabic culture.

This has never stopped Arabs.

Arabs used to raid Italians and Brits on horse back 100 years ago successfully from Libya to Iraq. Najdi Ikhwanis raided deep into British-conrolled Transjordan, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait etc. as well. Only fighter jets of the time stopped them.

How do you think that Arabs created more large empires than any other ethnic group in history (1200 years before the British Empire became a thing) on 3 continents and almost always fought outnumbered but won?

Turn up for the sound.

Arabia remains unconquered. KSA remains unconquered as one of the few areas of the world. No westerner ever ruled KSA. Or foreigner. And Arabia alongside Russia is the most resource rich area of the planet.

What? Hell no. It's nowhere CLOSE to China empire.

How is fighting in Yemen fighting for Saudi Arabia? It does not.

Saudi Arabian warriors have conquered 90% of Yemen while fighting against the most heavily armed terrorist group in the world and a significant sector of the Yemeni army.

Our Yemeni brothers are respected opponents. Even I can respect the fighting spirit of Houthis. They make the Syrian opposition look like school boys.

Just like Iraqi Sunni Arabs made the Afghans look like school boys in Iraq. In 8 years time Americans lost vastly more soldiers than Americans have lost in Afghanistan (much more mountainous) in 17 years of conflict.

US special forces were burned alive in Fallujah and hoisted in public. Never happened for American soldiers since WW2.

Most of that is desert. North Yemen is the heavily populated part. And it's mountainous. Difficult to fight.

Wrong. Arabs defeated Chinese in the battle of Talas in 750.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Talas

All Arab empires were larger than the largest Chinese empire. Chinese were and are the dominating force (culturally as well) in Eastern Asia as Arabs are it in the Middle East/Western Asia and North Africa.

Chinese culture/influence did not reach much territory outside of China proper. Only tiny Korea and isolated islands that later became Japan. Arab culture on the other hand is a different beast. Case in point Senegal and Western Papua. Those two places have a lot in common that is connected with Arab influence.

Even the areas where a large Chinese diaspora is present, a similarly large Arab diaspora is present. Case in point Indonesia, Malaysia etc. Here the two largest non-native populations are Arab and Han Chinese.

Singapore another example.

We have people in KSA of Chinese origins (Hui mostly but also Uyghur) who have lived in KSA for 1000 + years due to Hajj and Umrah. One of our most high-ranking generals is a Hui Chinese. There are China towns in cities in KSA, Ta'if for example. More Chinese live in the UAE than anywhere else in the region.

Anyway Arabs and Chinese were allies for centuries and had cordial ties outside of that 1 battle. Today is the same case. I respect Chinese more than most others.

Arabs were the only people at the Chinese Emperors court who refused to bow down to him. This usually carried the death penalty. The Chinese Emperor did not execute due to the respect for the two greatest contemporary powers of the time back then.

Written by Chinese chroniclers.

An Arab envoy presented horses and a girdle to the Chinese in 713, but he refused to pay homage to the Emperor, said, he said "In my country we only bow to God never to a Prince". The first thing the court was going to do was to murder the envoy, however, a minister intervened, saying "a difference in the court etiquette of foreign countries ought not to be considered a crime." A second Arab envoy performed the required rituals and paid homage to the Emperor in 726 A.D. He was gifted with a "purple robe and a girdle".[32]

Good find. But anyway Arabs were not able to take an inch of China land. China remains a non religious country.

The only desert areas in Yemen are the northeast. No cities there. Rest is inhabited. 30+ million people live in Yemen. Half of the territory controlled is mountainous.

But yes, you are right, it's a different beats compared to Syria. Also because KSA will always neighbor Yemen. We cannot alienate 30 million Yemenis (that are our brethren) while Russia can easily carpet bomb Syria 1500 km away. Locals in KSA would refuse it. It's a no go. Especially in the South which is close to Yemen, especially North Yemen.

In theory KSA could have carpet bombed all of Yemen and used chemicals and killed off 90% of the population.

Good find. But anyway Arabs were not able to take an inch of China land. China remains a non religious country.

Wrong. Arabs conquered Chinese controlled areas in Central Asian and what is today Xinjiang.

This is why Uyghur and Hui Chinese use the Arabic script to this day. Many Hui Chinese have Arab ancestry (partially). They themselves state it proudly.

Chinese women marrying Arabs.

Vice versa too.

Arabs and Chinese are natural allies.

One of the first mosques in the world was built in Southern China (Guangzhou). Arabs reached the heartland of China. 50 million Chinese are Muslim today.

No Arabs are Confucians though. Islam/Christiantiy = missionary religions. Very militaristic people. Chinese, peaceful, minding their own business. Staying at home.

In the spirit of the yearly Arab-Sino Cooperation Council and the historical legacy of the millennia old alliances and mutually beneficial trade ties of those two imperial powers and the two largest ethnic groups in the world, that have been restored to this very day.

Sino-Arab trade last year reached 250 billion USD. A staggering number.
