Jammu: The Army today handed over two Pakistani boys, who had crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into India, to the Pakistan army as a goodwill gesture.

Rehmatullah, 15, and Inayatullah, 12, of Kotli area of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir had crossed over to the Indian side of the LoC in Nowshera sector on Friday in "search of employment", said Col. RK Palta, the Jammu-based spokesperson of the army.

The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.

"Indian soldiers in Poonch Sector handed over the two boys to the Pakistan army. The boys had crossed over to the Indian side of the LoC in Nowshera Sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir March 22. The handing over took place at the Chakan-da-Bagh Zero line at 1230 hours today (Sunday)," Col. Palta said.

"During their stay with the Indian army, Rehmatullah and Inayatullah said they had left their country and crossed over to the Indian side in search of employment," he added.

"The Indian army acted on humanitarian considerations. A message was conveyed to the Pakistan army over the hotline Saturday, conveying the intent to hand over the two boys back to Pakistan. A battalion commander-level flag meeting was held at Chakan-da-Bagh in the afternoon Sunday and the boys were handed over to Pakistani army officials," Col. Palta said.

Thankfully they did not activate any landmines. It is cases like this where the ROE's of challenging people and giving them a chance to surrender pay off and save innocent lives.

Hopefully these kids can find a job in Pakistan.

Work, really? There is lots of work in Pakistan wherever you go, especially for teenagers and young men. the 15 year old could help build roads in AJK

Should be investigated thoroughly whether they are actual Pakistani citizens or returning terrorists after getting training in india.

very good news..better than hearing about the exchange of bullet ridden and tortured bodies..

That's like saying that a Saudi arabian citizen went to Nepal to dig for oil.

Why would anybody go to India for terrorist training, when the acknowledged global leading university for that profession is right next door? When arabs and chechens and Indians and uzbeks and afghans come to Pakistan for their training, and a foreign study program in Pakistan is mandatory on the resume of every aspiring terrorist, why would anyone infiltrate into India for that?

Boys were looking at greener pasture in Indian Kashmir.

Indian army distanced itself from being the aggressor and firing some shots on the contrary they took the risk of investigating .
Now that is what you call professionalism . Jai hind

Your post is full of crap and shows your ignorance and your suffering from mental lapses? Have you forgotten indian role in training and supporting terrorists in East Pakistan? training and supporting Jay Sind Terrorists? BLA terrorists? MQM terrorists? LTTE terrorists in Sri Lanka?

Its the state of india which actively supports terrorism and trains, funds and supports terrorism in neighbouring countries.

Despite all your frothing and fulmination, the fact remains that today Pakistan is the leading university for terrorists. Foreign terrorists all come to pak to get trained. Saudis, chechens, Yemenis, afghans, Jordanians....the list goes on and on. Many terrorists worldwide claim their alma mater to be Pakistan. You know it as well as I do. It is undeniable.

Now to your post: India trained the mukti bahini in erstwhile east Pakistan, and they led a successful freedom struggle, and created a nation called Bangladesh. Terrorists don't build nations, they only destroy nations. Indian trained mukti bahinis CREATED a nation. They were nation builders, not destroyers. And today that nation is doing a lot better than you, and that nation is NOT the epicenter of world terrorism, like your country is.

Pakistan is 'epicenter of Islamic terrorism' - CNN

BLA or MQM....India doesn't aid them, just because you say so doesn't make it true. Bring proof.

LTTE....We initially trained them when we saw tamilians being oppressed by sri lanka. We trained them to make their own homeland, not to become rogue terrorists. When we saw what the LTTE was doing later, we had the moral courage and integrity to change stance, and fight against them. We spent blood and treasure fighting the ltte. And in the final 4th ealam war, we helped sri lanka to decimate that group. The sri Lankan army still comes to India for training. We train their army and naval cadets, like we did through their final war with LTTE.

Unlike you, India has convictions, and acts accordingly.

Anyway, my post wasn't about India. I was calling your attention to the fact that today your country is a world renowned educational institution for aspiring terrorists. No terrorists' resume is complete without a study tour in Pakistan.

Now do you want me to list the number of terrorist groups that your own army and ISI have funded and patronized in the past, and are fighting now?
