Two Nation Theory

Didn't join Pakistan cuz of religion, immigration of Indic Muslims was wrong and has destroyed the uniqueness of this land.

Muslims of India should have had their own nation in land they are from, letting them immigrate to lands that makeup Pakistan has destroyed the fabric of our society.

Pakistan is for Muslims of KPK, Punjab, Baluchistan, Sind and Kashmiris, all others are not native and don't really belong here.

People and also many Pakistanis don't understand that Pakistan is simply not the caliphate.

Indians think we don't think of us as Pakistanis, well how wrong they are, if a Central Asian imbred Northern Indian can relate himself to an Asian negro the Dravidian with out any genetical and cultural connection, then Pakistanis are very connected.

We are not the keeper of Indian Muslims, personally I don't differentiate between them and Hindus as they carry same blood.

Even if it was true. Pakistanis (Pashtun, Baloch, Sindis, Kashmiris and Punjabis) fought the British before the annexion into "British India" and also during the british occuption. If not the muslim league than the Pakistanis did.
Only some Pastuns under Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Also known as Bacha Khan & Frontier Ghandhi) fought against the British colonial rule. We all know how he was treated how he was treated in independent Pakistan..

Thats quite normal for a multi ethnic state like Pakistan.
If you look the history of Pakistan from Indus Valley civilisation (Sind) up to Pakistan, Pashtun, Baloch, Kashmiris, Sindis and Punjabis lived all together in one state or empire.

What about East Bengal? Why did it become part of Pakistan?

The basic premise on which the two nation theory was founded on was the Muslims and Non-Muslims cannot coexist peacefully, and Pakistan was created based on this theory to safeguard the interests of all Muslims in the Indian Subcontinent. Saying that Indian Muslims should coexist with non-Muslims in the Republic of India is negating the Two Nation Theory.

Are you saying that people like Liaqat Ali Khan, Dr. Qadir Khan, Gen. Musharaff etc. (or their ancestors) should not have migrated to Pakistan during partition?
What about the whole of native urdu speaking community in Pakistan?

Pakistan doesn't need a Two nation theory.
A concept and a religion doesn't make a country to a country. But the ethnics, races, history, predecessor states make a country to a country.
Pakistan is land of Pashtun, Kashmiris, Punjabis, Sindis and Balochis. Why does Pakistan need a Two nation theory?
Germany is land of Germans or France is land of the French. They don't need a Two nation theory.
Pakistan also doesn't need Two Nation Theory.
Yes British occupied Pakistan from 1843 to 1947 with the defeat of Sikh Empire, Sind and Kalat and annexed our beloved country into "British India".
Muhammad Ali Jinnah took our country out of the British Occupation, he united us Pakistanis under Islam and he made elections for creation of modern day Pakistan, and immediatly Pashtun, Punjabis, Baloch, Sindis and Kashmiris agreed and formed Pakistan, a country which was always a country.
So Muhammad Ali Jinnah tried to took out our country as peacefully as it was possible with elections. British took our country with war and terror and with the defeat of Sikh Empire, Sind and Kalat and annexed it into "British India" forcefully.
So the other way would be like the British took Pakistan (back in time Sikh empire, Sind, Kalat) and annexed it forcefully and with war into "British India" somebody if there was no Jinnah could take Pakistan out with war, the same way the British did.
But Muhammad Ali Jinnah did his job took our country out and cleaned the mess the British created.
But that doesn't mean Pakistan is restricted to the words of Quide Azam or to a concept like the Two Nation Theory.
Because a country is a country. The ethnics groups, languages, civilisation, history, predecessor states make a country to a country and not a concept.
I agree.. a country is a country no iffs no butts... :)
why do people still have to talk about this theory as if pakistan needs to prove its existance to herself.
there is never a need, after 65 years, pakistan is what it is, there is no need of a theory.

.
I wonder why the Pakistanis still feel the need to analyse the current events in India to prove a theory on which their country was created 67 years ago. The overwhelming majority in India and the rest of the world accept the reality of Pakistan. Most Indians welcome the fact that Pakistan is separate from India. Maybe an extremely small and insignificant loony fringe in India still dream of united Indian subcontinent. Majority of Indians today would not accept even if Pakistan and Bangladesh were to willingly want to merge with the secular republic of India.

The basic premise the Two Nation Theory is that Muslims and Non-Muslims cannot coexist as one nation and Islamic religion can define the nationhood. This theory stands disproven based on the following three facts:
  1. The overwhelming majority of Indian Muslims, which forms the 2nd or 3rd largest Muslim population in the world, are coexisting peacefully with non-Muslim Indians. As long as even 10% of Indian Muslims can live peacefully with their non-Muslim neighbors in the secular republic of India, the Two Nation Theory stands disproven.
  2. The fact that over 50+ Muslim majority independent country's exist in this world also disproves the theory that religion defines the nation. Even Islamic republic of Pakistan shares a border with 2 other Islamic republic, which are very independent. There are dozens of Muslim countries stretching from Morocco to Pakistan sharing contiguous borders, but still staying independent. Even in the middle-east, there are over a dozen independent nations, kingdoms and emirates, even though they share a common religion, Arabic culture and history. As long as there are dozens of Independent Muslim nations and not one united ummah, the two nation theory stands disproven.
  3. The presumption that Islamic religion can keep a nation united as one unit was disproven in 1971 by the creation of Bangladesh after its separation from Pakistan. Islam didn't prevent the West-Pakistanis from looking down with contempt their fellow Bangla Muslims and didn't prevent them from committing untold atrocities on them. As long as Bangladesh remains a sovereign indpendent nation, the Two Nation theory stands disproven.

However, having said the above, irrespective of whether the two nation theory is proven or not, the overwhelming majority of Indians accept the reality of Pakistan and are happy that Pakistan is a separate country. The majority of Indians are indifferent to the current affairs in Pakistan. Their only concern is Pakistan's meddling in Indian affairs and for being a constant pain in the rear.

Many Muslims from India didn't migrate to Pakistan because India is their home and not Pakistan (especially because of ethnics, languages, cultures etc.)

If you mean the cultural connection then I simply cannot argue with you since these states neighbored each other for thousands of years. That would mean that the cultural connection cannot be mapped into the current Pakistan since Pakistan should ideally have consisted of most of North Western India as well.

Indian lies & propaganda has began. Don't know why Indians live in their fantasy world of bollywood.

.
The purpose of creating this thread is to show why Pakistan was needed & why Two Nation Theory was made....
