Srinagar: Two militants of Pakistan-based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit, who were allegedly tasked to carry out fresh grenade attacks, were arrested in Baramulla district of north Kashmir, police today said a day after multiple terror strikes in the Valley.

Bilal Ahmad Mir and Javid Ahmad Mir were arrested and two grenades seized from them at a checkpoint on Court Road in Sopore town, 55 kms from here, last evening, Superintendent of Police, Sopore, Imtiyaz Hussain said.

He said the militants were attempting to carry out grenade attacks in the town when they were intercepted by the police and taken into custody.

He, however, said the duo were "not linked" with yesterday's grenade attacks in Srinagar and Shopian town of south Kashmir.

Both the arrested militants were residents of Sopore town and were locally trained activists of LET outfit, Hussain said, adding one of them was a "recycled" militant.

Suspected militants yesterday carried out twin grenade attacks in Srinagar injuring three CRPF jawans. They also shot at and injured a policeman in Anantnag district town besides making an abortive attempt to target a police party with a grenade in Shopian district.

Security forces have stepped up vigil across Kashmir following the militant strikes and have set up special check points at various places in the Valley to foil such attacks.

They are not ideots, they are actually thinking for the long term benefit of the country. Unless AFSPA is removed , the seperatist sentiment in the valley will only get stronger and these grenade attacks that you are trying to prevent will become more and more frequent. You are a fool if you think that majority of kashmiris want to be with India. The only way to diffuse seperatist sentiment is by reducing army presence , giving people employment and allowing people to live normal lives without the fear of a soldier killing their family members.

You need to stop living in 'la-la we're optimist' land. WTF is a 'sensitive area'? There is nothing called a sensitive area in a country unless and until it has elements of terrorism or separatism in it. The reason why that area is sensitive is because of crazy sick terrorists ruining the lives of common people who want to earn a living and spend good times with their family. I've been to Kashmir a lot and I tell you something; this is what these separatism scum want; removal of military because since last 2 decades our military has quashed their nuts to pulp.

Sonia Gandhi is the main controller of politics in our country if you don't know that. I'll give you a hint:

What's common between:

- MMS
- Patil
- Chidambaram
- Anthony
- Krishna?

Answer: They lack spine and stand.

Stand comes when you're genuinely elected to do a job. Spine comes when one is willing to take the responsibilities on individual cases rather than shared look-ups. And these 5 people don't have either. Everytime they have to run to Sonia Gandhi for consulting and asking permissions. This is not how a country of our stature works. So naturally she will be blamed for most of the things going afoul in the country.

I am not politically inclined but I respect those who work on getting what needs to be done. This woman is clearly not that.

These political "fights" are just dirty games to show to the people, which most of us common people don't understand and think are real. The state is virtually in grip of terrorism for last 22 years and the government wants the ONLY refuge for our soldiers removed. Do you know what that means? In the name of a few bad apples, the modern terrorist supporters called "human rights" will eat our true and dedicated soldiers up, hamper combat operations and only increase militancy.

Surely you don't want that. Democracy is not perfect and sometimes it has to be bent for the sake of nation. This is something most of us suicidal Indians don't understand.

This is what most propaganda makers want us to believe and you're just falling for it. NO ONE wants to leave India especially after looking at what "brother" Pakistan has to offer them. Soldiers NEVER killed anyone except a few who were severely punished much better than what our national law does. Military has been honest about it always. I know soldiers go rogue and all that and that's why I am saying. AFSPA is the only defense for our soldier who is sincere to his work.

Terrorists want the law to be repealed so that they can continue their dirty work. All this "we're not safe", "soldiers are atrocious" etc is all propaganda and lies. Last time 2 sisters were raped and killed in Shopian, it was the army that was blamed. Independent investigations showed that it was LeT sympathizers who raped the girls and killed them and threatened their families and people to speak that Army has done it. This is common in Kashmir where terrorists are still there though in their last dying numbers.

Removing AFSPA will undo all the pains our soldiers have done in these years. The military knows this better than politician scum who are only vying votebank against the larger national interest.

As for economic development, no investment is possible without safety and safety is impossible as long as ISI is alive and GOI is as pathetic as UPA.
