Still leaving the two alive doesn't make any sense. If someone hates you so much that it beheads you, then it isn't going to leave you injured in the first place.

India has made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that any kind of nuclear weapon used on its territory "or against its forces" (a clear reference to tactical nukes) would invite massive retaliation. This policy is necessary for us because we have a "no first use" policy in place, and so we would still hold the moral high ground. Not to mention that that is a necessary, logical consequence of having a NFU policy. But then it is only immature keyboard warriors who call for nuclear exchanges, I am pretty sure that not even the armed forces on either side would want to take that route except as a last resort. Lives of jawans have always been cheap on either side. Somehow I don't see this event, or any similar event leading up to nuclear exchanges.

But this certainly isn't going well - the armed forces are a lot more belligerent today than they usually are, when ceasefire violations take place.
