its possible to make good serials that locals will like, it does not have to be big budget or all those colorful costumes that hindi/turkish drama shows.. if you cant beat them in the game, find your own niche...

Bangladeshi ads banned in foreign channels

Bangladeshi advertisements, meant for telecasting by foreign television stations, are not being displayed by those channels here and abroad. The move has come following intervention by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Local news agency reports have said, with the interference of the prime minister, telecasting of Bangladeshi advertisements have been stopped in foreign channels since Friday (December 2).

Media Unity, an integrated platform of local TV channels invertors and other relevant organisations, made the disclosure at Dhaka Club Samsung Centre on Saturday.

On December 1, the third solidarity assembly was held at Gulshan’s Six Session Hotel where Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed were present.

The prime minister also watched the programme and directed to take initiatives to stop alleged money laundering by airing the Bangladeshi advertisement in foreign channels.

Moreover, it was also one of the five demands placed by the crew of Bangladeshi TV channels during a rally held on November 30.

Their demands also included a ban on airing serials in Bangladesh by TV stations owned foreign countries. They had also set December 15 for imposing ban on telecasting foreign serials with Bangla dubbing. – bz

Bangladeshis should watch Pakistani serials. They will be inspired and Bangladesis writers will start to come up with shows that are relateable to the average person in their country.

If bengalis watched... top gear, the 100, quantico, breaking bad, walking dead, game of thrones etc. I would be impressed. But the shit they watch makes no sense, has no logic behind it and no wonder why majority of em says dumb things that boils my blood.

Maybe the state should sponsor some production, but the Quality needs to be there.
Unless they can create interest outside Bangla Desh, the quality is probably not that good.

Watch The Mentalist . after Dr House this is the only series i find a bit watchable. Not very deep but passable.

I just watch Netflix these days for TV dramas. Try Breaking bad, Orange is black, Narcos etc , you will like them. Even the netflix originals which are only available for netflix members are very well made.

Man all the drama and movies have same storyline, sounds and similar script and plots just with different actors and title name. 1 time is good but shit is been running for 40+ years. It's boring.

Ex. Poor guy likes a rich girl, parent of rich girl is a mafia member... fight fight fight until he proves his love or gets the father arrested or something... girl and boy live happily ever after. Same kind of shit with little editing every movie.
